Super User Matt Fly Posted December 5, 2007 Super User Posted December 5, 2007 I say any team that puts pressure on Brady stands a chance. That has been seen a few times this year. Pitt has the defense, but, I'll say this. Pitt laid an egg on the Jets, so I'm not gonna put all my eggs in one basket either. I just happen to flip to the game and was surprised to see the Ravens ahead the other night, so I watched. Great game, didn't expect it to be at all.\ I will say that winter is in the air, and weather now can be a factor at some of the games. Wasn't like that in Sept with pretty descent weather. Already seen some good weathered games. Quote

Thats about the only game I try and watch every year other than when BC and Notre Dame play. But I have never seen UT come out and play so flat and what looked like to be so uninspired. What happened? Quote

What happened? One thing I understand about sports is, you can't win them all. I am blessed to have great college and good pro team. The last 11 years with Dallas gave me something I never lived with, losing and being a very inconsistent team. I have never been associated with a team such as the Saints. It is easy for me and others who have always had some bragging rights because of good home team to say to much at times..... Texas aTm is needed to kick the crap out of my team once in awhile. Thats what always made games like OU/Neb every Turkey Day when i grew up. Its rivalries that make football what it is. It certainly wouldn't be much of a rivalry winning them all. I sure don't like Dallas losing, but consider the accomplishments they already have, i can be patient, I've had great years with all my teams. Quote

I just want Polamalu to blind side Brady so hard that... whew, I need to calm down. :-[ Go Steelers.Beat Brady. I'm on the same boat. I can't stand him or Randy Moss either. Moss is such a disgrace to our state, and especially Marshall University. He's a good ball player, but his character doesn't exist. Quote

Your telling me you wouldnt want him on your favorite team? Its all about the #'s Quote

Its all about the #'s Moss is just like TO, if they're winning they're happy and everyone talks about how they have "matured". If they're losing, they whine like babies and tear apart locker rooms. Dean Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 Patriots are gonna light up that scoreboard!!! I predict a blowout!! GO PATS!!!!!! Quote
flyhatch Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 i agree that we have a good a shot as the eagles or the ravens its seems that the steelers play to the opponets level. well we need a great defnsive and offensive showing we need to be able to run the ball to set up play action the last game in 2005 was a war alot of injuries and it came down to a 3 point pats win. llPa1nll Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 Steelers Schmeelers, I say the Dolphins got robbed More like Dolphins ownership got robbed am I right? Id be embarrassed to cash those checks if I were a player not 1 win, thats pathetic. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted December 10, 2007 BassResource.com Administrator Posted December 10, 2007 I don't like the Patriots but I don't like the Steelers more. And I'd like to see history made this year so I'll predict a 42-13 beatdown of the Steelers. We have a winner! Score ended up 34-13 Pats. Not a bad guess! Steelers got PANCAKED!! ...and the Seahawks win their 4th consecutive divisional title by dominating the Cardinals 42-21. Quote

They just have way too many weapons and the O-Line protects Brady like he's a newborn baby. You just cant give him that much time. The Steelers were coming from all angles with the blitz and they still couldnt do much to affect his play. And Seattle.....they really didnt have a choice about winning that division, none of the other teams wanted to. ;D Quote
rondef Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 The Patriots will now run the table and go 19-0. Brady will set the single season touchdown record and Moss will set the single season touchdown record for a wide receiver. Don Shula can then go home and cry about the fact that the Patriots are a better team then his Dolphins were. GO PATS!!!!! Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted December 10, 2007 Author Super User Posted December 10, 2007 I am in the middle of my serving of "humble pie" Patriots are definitely a good team. Cant wait to see 'em again in the playoffs. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted December 10, 2007 Super User Posted December 10, 2007 Pats are out to prove the last two games were flukes. Moss and Wes Welker will come back big after last weeks sub-par performance and Maroney is due for a big game running the ball. 45-20 I don't think the game will be that close! : Moss lets one get through his hands that he catches 99% of the time, two short field goals that "should have" resulted in touchdowns...Maybe two other opportunities...The game was boring and much more one-sided than the score indicated. Quote
Super User Tin Posted December 10, 2007 Super User Posted December 10, 2007 Beisdes the Pats winning, the second best part of that game was how the Pat's targeted Anthony Smith (the guy who made that guarantee that the Steelers would win). The first pass when Moss BURNED him and the 56 yard TD pass to Gaffney. That was just great. Quote

Seems like sharing his spot has got Shawn Alexander running better. Any team who can run the ball in the playoffs have a shot, and then, most of your teams key spots are held by Veterans. Seattle is playing alot better than the record shows. Quote
nboucher Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 The Steelers had half of a good defense. Their tricky blitzes were a good approach to force short, quick passes, but the second half of this defense should have been doing what the Ravens did to shut down Moss: hit him hard at the line. The Steelers were so focused on bringing pressure on Brady that they let the receivers get going deep. When it wasn't Moss, it was Gaffney. It's true: the Patriots chances to run the table never looked better. I'm sure we won't hear anything about guaranteed wins from the remaining three teams . . . Quote
