Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted December 5, 2007 Super User Posted December 5, 2007 Ok, I can see this ending up a weekly thing until they are finally defeated or they win the Super Bowl and it continues next year. Since the Stillers are MY TEAM I will start this one for the week. What do you all think on the matter? I personally think they have a great shot considering NE's showing the past two weeks. Weaknesses in the armor are there to be exploited. Should be one heck of a game. Stillers 20 NE 17 Go Stillers!!!!!!! Quote
Super User Tin Posted December 5, 2007 Super User Posted December 5, 2007 Pats are out to prove the last two games were flukes. Moss and Wes Welker will come back big after last weeks sub-par performance and Maroney is due for a big game running the ball. 45-20 Quote

That could be interesting to watch, especially if Polamolu is back for the game. I think you have a very good chance of being incorrect about Mr. maroney Quote
Super User FishTank Posted December 5, 2007 Super User Posted December 5, 2007 If anybody can do it, it will be the Steelers. I do have a weird vision in the back of my head, that sees an undefeated New England team meeting a winless Maimi team and the out come is decided by a field goal..... I can't believe I am saying this but "Go Steelers" Quote
Troutfisher Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 I'm feeling a big win for the Steelers. Oh, predition, almost forgot. Steelers 28 Patriots 17 Quote

jeremyt Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 I hope the Steelers pull it off, it depends on which Steelers team comes out to play. If they have a showing like they did against the Jets, you can hang it up. Other than that they have just a good a shot as Philly and Baltimore. Quote
llPa1nll Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 Well the Steelers represent the biggest challenge in the the remaining regular season schedule for the undefeated Patriots. So what kinda of game is this going to be? What will the score be? I have absolutely no idea. I do know that Coach Bill Belichick gave the weary bunch an extra day off. They have Tuesday and Wednesday off this week. I think that the 3 straight prime time games are getting to them and the Steelers on a shortened week, just doesnt look good. So what team shows up to play? Is it the team that put the Redskins down 52-7, or the team that squeaked by the Eagles and the Ravens. This also goes equally for the Steelers as well. Is it the team that beat these same Ravens 38-7, or the team that lost to the Jets 19-16 in OT. I know from here on out every team that is playing the Patriots , it will be their biggest game of the season. They all want to be the ones that knock off the Patriots and spoil their hopes at going undefeated. Im pulling for my team the Patriots, no surprise there. Patriots 35 Steelers 21 GO PATS!!!! Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted December 5, 2007 BassResource.com Administrator Posted December 5, 2007 The Steelers can beat anyone because they have the refs in their back pockets. It's impossile to beat a team when the refs continue to make questionable calls in Pittsburgh's favor. And what's with all the national TV exposure? A Monday night game vs. Miami? *YAWN* Followed immediately by another boring Sunday night game against the Bengals? Both games filled, might I add, with questionable calls in their favor.... again. How can such a mediocre team get such airtime and so many calls in their favor? I smell a rat. Oops, did I say that in my outloud voice? : New England, in the end, is the better football team. Pittsburgh would need to play a great game to have a chance, while the Pats can play just a good game and win. The Steelers will not be good enough. That said, with the help of the referees, anything is possible. Quote
Troutfisher Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 Refs in our favor? Have we all forgotten about the video cameras on the Patriots side? Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 I really hope the steelers win but I doubt it. Quote
Super User Tin Posted December 5, 2007 Super User Posted December 5, 2007 Refs in our favor? Have we all forgotten about the video cameras on the Patriots side? Lol, Video camera on the Patriots side. Wasnt that 12 straight wins ago? Quote
Troutfisher Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 Yep, and something about those 12 straight wins seems fishy to me. Quote
Super User Tin Posted December 5, 2007 Super User Posted December 5, 2007 Yep, and something about those 12 straight wins seems fishy to me. No, they wont beat the Dolphins till the 23rd. :) :) Quote

Boy, you Seattle fans sure are bitter for some unknown reason : That trophy sure is nice sitting next to the other four.....I like symmetry, so we had to have one for all FIVE FINGERS!!!! GO STILLERS!!!!!!!!!! Quote
Troutfisher Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 I was going to point that detail out, that SOMEONE hasn't gotten over Super Bowl XL. 8-) Quote
rondef Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 It is going to be a close game. The Pats have Colvin out with a foot injury, Harrison sprained his groin against the Ravens. The Patriots defense is also giving up to many big plays in the middle of the field, both running and passing plays. This is due to the fact that the linebacking corps is getting old. You also have to consider that the game features the best offense (Patriots) and best defense(Steelers) in the league going head to head. This should be a great game. I see this as 31-24 in favor of the Patriots. Quote
llPa1nll Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 Refs in our favor? Have we all forgotten about the video cameras on the Patriots side? Wow, yea I forgot how the Patriots video taping the Jets defensive signals in game 1 would help them win the next 11 games that didnt include the Jets. Im glad your not bringing it up, just because your sore on the Patriots win streak. Don't Hate Appreciate. I mean it wasnt the Patriots that went 59:30 mins against Miami and went scoreless. Then ended up only scoring 3 points in the whole game. Quote
