Super User Bassn Blvd Posted December 7, 2007 Super User Posted December 7, 2007 #1. Why do people find it necessary to put songs on their cell phone answering machine? This drives me absolutely mad. Not only does 99% of the music suck but most of the time you can't understand a word to the song. #2. Since when did car manufacturers start endorsing various gas companies? I just got a new work truck (F-150 xlt). I went to gas it up and noticed this written on the gas cap " Ford recommends using B/P gasoline." I know what B/P stands for but why would Ford make this recommendation? Quote

Super User Redlinerobert Posted December 7, 2007 Super User Posted December 7, 2007 The whole song on a cell phone drives me absolutely nuts. The song ring, the song while you wait, why?? > Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted December 7, 2007 BassResource.com Administrator Posted December 7, 2007 Three reasons: 1. A plain, generic ring is boring 2. The music lets you know you've called the right number - even before anyone answers. 3. Caller Tunes are a form of creative expression and personalization. btw - mine is "I'm Gonna Miss Her". A song about fishing. Appropriate, eh? Quote

Fishin-Psyantist Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 It might be another one of there ploys to wiggle their way out of an expensive warranty issue too. Probably not though but I wouldnt be surprised. I set this ringtone to the numbers of the people I dont like to talk to. "Id like to shoot you in the a** with a BB gun, lay there in the tall grass and laugh at what Id done, Put a blood blister upon each bun, Id like to shoot you in the a** with a BB gun." I dont like musical ringtones much either but I could not resist this one. Quote

mattm Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 I noticed the bp thing about my new Ford also. Probably because I don't think there is a bp in my state. My best friend hates the song ringtone thing. I personally don't understand why. I would rather listen to a song than a bell type thing. Quote
