mike bat Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 who you takin ???? ill be taking green bay ... i want to hear your thoughts on thursdays game ..... ;D Quote
frogtog Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Cowboys will probably take this one. The cheer leaders have really got them pumped up wright now. Quote
Big T Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 I like Green Bay, growing up as a Redskins fan I always despised Dallas. Plus I cannot stand Terell Owens. Quote
Super User grimlin Posted November 25, 2007 Super User Posted November 25, 2007 Green Bay.... I think this will be a good game and whoever wins on top will probably be going up against NE for the Superbowl.Unless we have upsets like college football been having lately. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted November 25, 2007 Super User Posted November 25, 2007 I like 'em both! The Cowboy's seem to be better balanced, but this is Brett's year. Whichever team you're rooting for, I'm with you, too! 8-) Quote
Ky_Lake_Dude Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 I believe Brett and the Packers with their newfound running game will pull off the win Quote
Evan Pease Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 I hope the cowboys win but with their terrible secondary brett could do some damage... Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted November 26, 2007 Super User Posted November 26, 2007 Get ready for a taste of NFL you haven't experienced before. The NFL Ticket has the Thursday game, so if you arent' local and or have the ticket, you don't get to watch this marquee match-up. Let the grumbling begin. Matt Quote
Super User Tin Posted November 26, 2007 Super User Posted November 26, 2007 Green Bay, Farve is on fire. And he cant go winless at Texas Stadium in 9 tries. Quote
jeremyt Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 I will take Tony ****, I mean Romo and the Cowboys, he has a better supporting cast. Dallas actually has a running game. I don't think it will be a blowout. I take D 35-28 Quote
mattm Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Give me Dallas. Pleassssse. Seriously god OU and A&M beat Texas. Mavericks beaten by an 8 seed and we agreed to stop talking about the Rangers. Throw me a sports bone please. Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted November 26, 2007 Super User Posted November 26, 2007 No body's upset about Thursday game not being on cable? Its the rant here local, parts of Texas will not see the game Thursday. Mainly, the Dallas area will see a televised game, and local Green Bay, thats it, if you don't have dish, your not watching. Brett is having magical year. Anything he does the rest of the year would not surprise me. I remind other Cowboy fans that Romo is basically a 2nd year rookie, he lacks the big game exposure and experience that gets you to the next level. I see Romo as young and being around for awhile. Bret would not hurt my feelings if he made one last run at the big dance. When Bret hangs the cleats up, it will be a long time before his ironman record is challenged. Congrats to the Pack fans. Farve has been class act for your franchise for 17 years. Quote

Super User flechero Posted November 27, 2007 Super User Posted November 27, 2007 Several of my friends are dumping cable for dish and AT&T over this. I'm not jumping yet... waiting to see which other service is better by friend's reviews. I'm fortunate, my in-laws get NFL network so I'm not in a hurry. Rumor has it that the AT&T bundle is the best service and looks to be cheapest also. We'll see. Quote
tipptruck1 Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 I dont even get to watch it. I would have to head to a bar to see it. But iam not going to pick any one. I maybe a true packer fan. But its to close to call. Quote

But its to close to call. Hey Tipp, Not to jack the thread, but are you trying to stay out of the bars? Not that that's a bad move or anything. From some of your posts it seems that some of your "bar buddies" were not good influences on you anyway. Back to the thread, I'm pulling for the Packers. Green Bay 38, Dallas 35. Quote
mike bat Posted November 28, 2007 Author Posted November 28, 2007 i live in green bay so ill get it on local tv... however we have direct tv ,, the nfl channle is standard in our basic plan ..... man i wish this was a monday night game .... Quote
llPa1nll Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Being a Patriots fan I really dont care who wins either way. I guess if I had to chose Id like to see the Packers win just cause I despise T.O.. I will like MATT said ***** about it cause even thought they arent my team. As an NFL fan Id love to watch that type of a matchup. We get a snoozer of a MNF with Steelers vs Dolphins 3-0 but we dont get to see the possible NFC title game? I dont have a satellite plan or NFL ticket, just regular cable. I will say the NFL better watch it making it hard for people to see the games will not sit well with most people. I mean GB isnt just GBs team its most of Wisconsin and other surrounding states. I mean if that went down with my Patriots how big of an area gets to watch them? All of New England's 6 states? Not every Football fan is able to pay for satellite or NFL ticket.... Quote

Not every Football fan is able to pay for satellite or NFL ticket.... NFL network knows what they're doing. After 1,000's of disgruntled football fan cable consumers fuss at the cable companies about it, cable companies will be adding NFL network to their line-ups, meaning money in the NFL network's pocket. If the cable networks don't budge, they'll lose even more business to Direct TV or Dish. We got rid of cable over 7 years ago and haven't blinked an eye since. BTW Mattfly and other DFW area members- I heard on Channel 8 this morning that channel 27 would show it locally. As for others in the country with cable I guess you are out of luck. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted November 28, 2007 Super User Posted November 28, 2007 Wait a minute... Commercials every three minutes, public subsidies for stadiums and the infrastructure to support them, outrageous ticket prices plus "season ticket fees", $20 parking, $8 beer, $4.50 for a 'dog and now I gotta pay more just to watch one game on TV? Man, I loves me sum feetball, but GEEZ, this is ridiculous! :-X Quote
Hookem Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Just wait for the inevitable PPV for football.......its coming. > For me, its going to be a great radio game! BTW, way to go promoting your league with only 1/3 of the nation being able to get the game. ;D And no, I'm not going to a bar to watch. I'm treating that evening like it was New Years Eve if you know what I mean. Go Cowboys! Quote
llPa1nll Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 I dont know alienating a large population of your fans to me isnt a good idea. I did some investigating and for me to get the NFL network. I would have to bump myself upto Digital Cable, and then purchase the sports package, as an add on. Satellite isnt an option for me because well I live in a forest on the north side of a huge hill, no southern exposure for me. I cant even pickup that channel as an option for my non-digital cable. With ESPN not covering the NHL I dont get Versus either so other than my Bruins I dont get to see many NHL games. I hope we arent heading towards NFL PPV games but I wouldnt bet against it. Quote
Super User grimlin Posted November 28, 2007 Super User Posted November 28, 2007 I forgot,i'll be working thursday.... Won't matter if i can't see it either way now. Quote
