Lard_Bass Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 Where's the love for the Rebel Pop-R? Can't I get a second that? Quote
NinjaFishin Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 Where's the love for the Rebel Pop-R? Can't I get a second that? X2! I actually mentioned it earlier. Seems we are in the minority there! Quote
FishingMastah1 Posted May 11, 2008 Author Posted May 11, 2008 I just bought a rebel pop-r and a super spook jr. about4 hours ago. I cant wait to get to fish them in a larger body of water. Quote
CFFF 1.5 Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 I thought there would be more love for the Devil's Horse. Amazing topwater. This bait caught me a $200 fish today. Bass can't stand this lure and hit it because it is annoying. Quote
BirdNestBen Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 Also, already mentioned was the Pop-R... you definitely need a few of those.... I assumed this bait was a given.... Couple of old school lures if you can get your hands on cheaply.... A Billy Bass Top-water- silver.. hard to find, but well worth the $ Powerpack Shad- white/blue .... this is such an ugly ridiculous lure but drives the bass nuts.......hard to find and usually pricey..... Regular plastic worm- no sinker texas rigged.... reel it slowly on top over moss- thru trees and thru lilly pads.... This technique is deadly on summer bass and works best in calm conditions......... You can also use this with a little styrafoam worm weight.... but put the weight on backwards...... and pop the weight to attract the bass.... Make sure you have a 1 to 2 foot leader with the worm trailing behind..... Also, I put a glass bead right behind the weight for more noise......... then the swivel... then the leader, then the 3/0 hook and worm....... Sounds crazy, but don't knock it till you tried it................... Once you have their attention you'll get massive strikes!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was sold on this technique after my Dad landed a 8.8 lb Bigmouth on the rig.......... Quote

X3 Pop-R's are my favorite popper, the are awesome I also thought I'd mention the Lucky Craft Sammy, expensive but worth it IMO Quote
