A Ghost Baits G-Stick

It is VERY Soft and LOADED with Salt and a secret Scented Ingredient.

It has a very similar. almost exact fall rate of the Senko and has an awesome wiggle on the way down.

Only $3.75 for 10

Theres a good discussion in one of the senko forums that is kind of on that order but i personally use wave tiki sticks there more durable than a senko and cost alot less and I catch as man fish on a tiki as i do a senko.

kinami baits  have yamamoto enterprises on the bag and their only a 7 ct. bag. i agree on the wave worms. and they have some awsome colors.(yum yum)i eat 2 and i fish with the other 8.

No, no, no.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion, even when they're wrong!

I told LBH that I would NEVER get into this debate again, but heck, it's just too much fun...

I'm sure the knockoffs catch lots of fish, but I have had too much success with GYCB products to switch.

I fish a few other soft plastics: Slug-Go, Roboworms, Micro Munch Tackle El Gordo tubes and Mizmo tubes.

So there!

BTW, Brad_Coovert,

That was a clever reply...

I like the stik-o from BPS.  I haven't really tried any other brand.

Cold Steel's Walking Stick is a great handpour. They are a GA company but I think they may have started selling though a distributor. You may be able to find them online now.

Hey b/c of my recent sucess using senko knock ooff I bought a bag of senkos and 2 other knock offs to compare them I also went to Senko FAQ( RW keeps you from bein lazy!) and realized I need to use wider hooks or at least larger? What brand hooks offer the lighest wire vs hook strength?

ITT XPoints.

These are the lightess, strongest and sharpest hooks made. Although there might be a couple of considerations for a slight adjustment in hook size to have the "perfect" size for a Senko/ knockoff,  a 4/0 EWG generally fits the bill.

Tiki sticks and Yum Dingers are both good, but don't quite have the fall rate of a Senko.

Undoubtedly that statement is correct, but that's not necessarily a negative, as the Senko fall rate is not always going to be the best rate. I've caught numerous fish on the Yums, others swear by the Tiki Sticks. Although I use mostly Senkos, a couple of weeks ago I caught my best of the year on a Zoom Z-Nail. Just because Senko was the first doesn't mean it's the only game in town.

have you really had success with those things!?!?  I am about to start selling my hand pours in a local tackle shop that carries them.  I wasnt sure if I was holding a senko or a metal rod.  Those things were stiff as a board.

Russ,

You have been MIA. I told you I would NOT do this again...Oh well...

I like your camera and I was never questioning your suggestions or sincerity. I just wish you were fishing the "right bait" so you could show us more tape and bigger bass...

Here is a simple formula for calculating the cost or value of your bait:

$1.00 for any bass caught

$100.00 for bass over 5 lbs

$1000.00 for bass over 10 lbs

Now, add up the dollar value of the number of bass caught, adjusting for the value assigned to size. Then subtract the cost of your baits from the total sum. Using this formula, you too will become a GYCB fan.

Man, fishermen are more opinionated than politicians!  Use 'em all, sometimes it seems like one works better than the other,  I have had days where the senko caught double the amount of the tiki-stick, and vice-versa.  Besides, everyone who swears that the senko is the only stickbait that's worth the money is selling themselves short.  What would you do if the bass were biting the sweet potatoe pie tiki-stick like crazy and you were only doing alright with your senkos(they don't come in that color scheme).  By the sound of it, some of you would rather go fishless all day than even thinking of touching anything but the original senko :-?

Thanks RW Im going to look to pick some of those hooks up

Opinionated ?  I resemble that statement ! :-) LOL

BTW, what wrong with going fishless all day ? Okay, sure I could throw a Senko, or a Tiki-stik, or any other "numbers" kind of bass lure..... and then I would certainly stand a better chance of sticking a few, or even a bunch, of small to medium sized fish. Only problem with that is, I'd have all but forgotten about those fish, by the time I pulled my boat off of the water.

On the other hand, if I get skunked five trips in a row, then on the 6th trip I stick a 10 to 13 lb'er, or maybe even bigger, not only will I remember that fish at the end of the day, but I'm liable to remember it next year.... heck, maybe even 10 years from now !

King of skunks :-)

The Senko is the only stick bait I currently throw. Tried a few others but none catch fish, for me, as consistantly as the GYCB Senko does.

Fish Chris...I hope to one day have the same mindset you have. Big bass only!!  8-) That first 10 will probably do it. Gotta keep those hooks on the hudd sharp!  ;)

Everyone reading-FYI- Rw and I are great friends on different sides of a debate. We rib each other constantly on the subject but have full respect in order on both sides at all times, please don't confuse our poking as punching. I will say this though,...If RW and I were ever on the same team in a debate, the other side wouldn't stand a chance!

--------------------------------------------------------------------

RW- No that's just not fair, we don't have 10 lb bass up here.

If I did break down your formula to apply to RI however, then you just solidified my point for me.

I catch the largest class fish we have here, consistently, with the baits I use. Sure the Yamamoto bait would most likely do the same but that's my point. Why spend $.70/worm to catch the same fish that is attracted to a $.10 worm?

Money grow on trees down in Tennessee?

We have been knocking on the state records door lately and with our lake returning to it's former prime (Sizes are rising again, each yr.) (7's and 8's were around a few yrs back before draining for dam repair) Are you suggesting that there is a whole nuther size class in our lake that we won't find unless we are throwing GYCB's???

Now, I'm at least being fair, I threw GYCB's for a few years. How long did you throw a knock-off before you judged it inferior and which one? The ones I use are the exact same as a yum dinger.

If all you throw is one thing,...don't be surprised if that's what your fish are caught on. Kinda common sense.

If I send you a 10-pack,...will you give them an honest try?
