I was using Yum Garlic yesterday which seemed to work fairly well. There  must have been a 100 bass boats on the lake so I was rather surprised to take 5 fish.

By take I mean catch. I dont eat fish of any kind.

I use my own scent design now but before that I used Mega strike since it first came on the market with good results. I don't think you can go wrong with the red Yum scent either and that is at Academy.

I only use paste scnts. Oil and water based disolve too quickly.

I like Yum crawfish spray on my jigs, not meaning to sound cocky by this, but if it dissolves why can I still smell it on the bait awhile after I sprayed it on?

Not only that but fish smell in the parts per million so even if you CANT smell it they probably still can.

FWIW, in the past I primarily only used Megastrike, but just recently I rec'd some JJ's Magic in the garlic oil. Gonna try it out this week at Table Rock. If it performs half as good as the odor is potent... the fish are in trouble

i bought some of JJ's Magic and that stuff works well, only a couple of things to be concerned with.

1.  Only let your plastic sit in the stuff for a good 1-2 seconds ( one onethousand two onethousand) any ore and the plastic actually will break down some and split.  I figured I will leave it in for up to five, not a good idea.

2.  That stuff stinks to high heaven, be careful and don't get it on your carpet.
