Super User Raul Posted November 19, 2007 Super User Posted November 19, 2007 After 3 years of marriage my wife decided she wanted to have a "child", ok, she got pregnant and now Lil Raul is almost 5. Now looking at my stuff I realize I have 2 PlayStations ( PS1 & PS2 ) and a big bunch of games, Boat & fishin stuff, 2 RC cars ( 1 for me and 1 for lil Raul ), rockets, an old Aurora AFX race track and the new addition is a couple of RC Helicopters. Yesterday, lil Raul and his old man couldn 't go fishin cuz it was raining so Lil Raul & Dad spent the entire afternoon playing with the RC cars and playing video games to the point where mom better went to bed on her own cuz me and my boy were very busy. Why my wife wanted another child if she already had me ? I don 't get it ! :-/ Actually I 'm enjoying more the kid than she is. ;D Quote

Super User Raul Posted November 19, 2007 Author Super User Posted November 19, 2007 Lil Raul 's new toy: Daddy 's new toy: The wife really didn 't know what she was getting into when she said she wanted a "child". Let 's see ..... he 's 5 that means that until the chicks arrive he 's gonna be mine for the next 10 years or so, then after the chicks and partying period has ended and he has settled if I happen to live as long as my father did he 'll be mine again for another 20+ years, then the grandkids ..... Oh yeah, then it will be more of us. ;D Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted November 19, 2007 Super User Posted November 19, 2007 Hey, that's a great lil' Raul toy, but your wife isn't a BassResource.com member! It's okay among us guys to buy new toys, they don't have to be disguised as "the kid's". CAUTION: Operation by adults only. Placing fingers in blades may result in serious injury. : Quote
michbass Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Having a kid is great., they are like a fountain of youth. They are also always a good excuse for buying new toys, or for when something breaks :-X Quote
Davis Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 My wife is always saying that my 8 year old and I are like brothers. We argue like brothers and have good times like brothers. We play video games, go fishing, throw the football around, etc. When I try to discipline though she gets all mad. I swear I have no clue what she wants me to be half the time. Quote
slomoe Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 This is Exactly why I've been wanting a kid. Im getting bored with this stagnant adult life. > Quote

Super User Gatorbassman Posted November 19, 2007 Super User Posted November 19, 2007 That's right. It's all for the good of the children. I have two boys and my wife is expecting our third. I think I need a bigger boat. Quote
Fisher of Men Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Raul, You crack me up! ;D It's funny. My wife did the same thing with my daughter. First an easy bake oven, then a lite brite. My wife never had those as a girl. However, I've been known to buy her some of my favorite things, too. Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 I just realized, I don't even know what you look like! I've been debating living in the south vs north with you for 3 yrs now!! Got a pic of the future "South 'O the Border , father/son team champs"? Lil Raul fish yet? Quote
Super User Raul Posted November 19, 2007 Author Super User Posted November 19, 2007 Lil Raul fish yet? "Fish" is a relative term, I cast, he reels in like mad even though he actually has caught several fish doing that, it 's one of the blessings of having a large familiy in which almost everyone of the relatives has a farm with irrigation ponds and a large population of dumb LMBs that seldomly see a lure. He does have a blast when I take him. Mommy doesn 't like it very much :-?, he wants her little boy to look like a cherub at all times, all dressed up, nicely combed and groomed spotless ....... yeah, right :; you should see him how he returns after a trip to the ponds with his old man ;D. He wanna play with dirt n 'mud ? do it !, wanna chase calves and step on cow patties ? man I ain 't gonna stop him from doing so. It 's kinda like a rebel attitude from me to my parents that didn 't allow me to do that so I let my kid do pretty much what he wants even though when we arrive home the mom gives me ...... THE LOOK, ya now which look I 'm talking about. Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted November 19, 2007 Super User Posted November 19, 2007 Wait til he gets into bass fishing Raul, he will want his own JDM tackle, just like dad's. ;D Quote
Super User Raul Posted November 20, 2007 Author Super User Posted November 20, 2007 Wait til he gets into bass fishing Raul, he will want his own JDM tackle, just like dad's. ;D Daddy 's got him JDM tackle of his own but he don 't know it yet Right now he has a Clarus rod and a Sahara reel to teach him the principles of fishing ( not bad for a beginner and much better than what I had when I began in the sport ) Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted November 20, 2007 Super User Posted November 20, 2007 I just realized, I don't even know what you look like! Alot like you... In need of a double cheeseburger, an order of Biggie Fries and a chocolate malt! : Raul's posted a few pics of himself. 8-) Quote

Pond Hopper Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Man that is a funny post and reminds me of my dad raising me...when mom was around he was a different person but when we were out fishing or playing sports he was the coolest dad ever. Either way my girlfriend and I have been discussing the kids situation and this is one post I have read that goes into the plus side of having kids Quote
