fish-fighting-illini Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 This is a pet peeve of mine but do we really need to have fishing stores open on thanksgiving day? Some of my greatest memories are with the extended family at thankgiving. Shouldn't the employees of Gander and BPS be afforded the same? I personaly won't shop then same with x-mas and x-mas eve. I always "strongly" discourage my wife and kids from those days. If we forgot something from the market then so be it my mistake. I'm in the minority on this I know. Quote
Super User MALTESE FALCON Posted November 20, 2007 Super User Posted November 20, 2007 I'm with you on this one. It's been a pet peeve of mine for many years. This morning my wife was telling me one of the department stores (Kohl's) will be open at 4:00 A.M. Friday. Falcon Quote

Super User Alpster Posted November 20, 2007 Super User Posted November 20, 2007 I would like to see all businesses closed on the holidays. I am pretty old fashioned that way. Ronnie Quote
Davis Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 I agree guys. Besides.....I do all my shopping for Christmas online. Amazon.com is a mans best friend. Hate Walmart around this time of year. Stay clear of it all the way. People are nuts and rude. So Amazon.com gives me everything that walmart can plus I don't have to pay for gas to drive there, no tax, free shipping, and I don't have to deal with people being rude and yelling at there kids and I can do all my shopping from the comfort of my home and spend less money. No brainer if you ask me. Quote
