Hey guys, I apologize for my vent in advance, I am not looking for anybody to feel sorry for me or anything like that. I just need to say some things...

Lately I have that feeling like my life is falling apart. I've been in a big slump in baseball since the end of summer, school isn't going great to say the least, and to top off all of my other personal problems I found out last night that my girlfriend for the last year and 10 months doesn't want to see me anymore...

I may be only 16 but I felt like I really loved this girl and I don't see how you can throw away something that meant so much for so long that abruptly. And it just came at a really really bad time...

I'm a mess right now and all I really want to do is go fishing, but due to a tight budget that is gonna have to wait...

Thanks for letting me get that off my chest.

Be a strong independant man.  You don't need a woman to define you.

Fishing can be good therapy in times like this.  When you feel weak or like you might do something stupid,.....go fishing!

Hang tough.  Keep your confidence through this and when the time is right, you'll be even more attractive to someone on a whole different level than the ex. ;)

You did well to vent.

do you have friends that you can talk to who are understanding types?

I don't want to make this bigger than it may be, but sometimes things like this can be a trigger for other things.

I don't know what your relationships are like, but if it gets to the point where your grades are suffering, or you really start to feel hopeless then you need to talk to an adult.

Again, not knowing your relationships, but the list might include some of the following,

Parents or older sibling.

Other close relative.

clergy

school counselor/ or psychologist.

99% of the time, these things pass.  It's all part of growing up.

But you are you.  If this time you need a little more, don't be afraid to ask.

good luck,

avid.

Hey little brother even Joe Dimaggio had slumps, its part of the game. one of the marks of a great baseball player is the ability to be coached and play your way out of a slump.

As for the young lady, I aint trying to discount your feelings but this is your first and probabbly niot your first time dealing with heart break. Sometimes you will break a heart sometimes it will be yours, thats what dating ia like man. Your day will come and the lady of a lifetime will appear. I am 56 years old and I just met that lady last year, worth every day I waited too!

Baseball and Women were meant to break men's hearts>>>>ask any Cubs fan ;D

Heay man I know its easyer said then done but dont let the girl put you down so much. He has a plan for you and you might not see it know but its comeing it may take months or even years(in your case it needs to be years) but its comeing and believe me its sooner then you think and baseball your going to have your good days and bad its like fishing some days you go and just bring'em in and other your either drowning bait or practiceing casting but biggest thing is dont let any of it effect your grades man be strong you will get threw this one and the next one and the next one.
