BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted November 12, 2007 BassResource.com Administrator Posted November 12, 2007 Colts are getting schooled by the Chargers in the first half. Woo Hoo! Not that I'm a Chargers fan, but I grow tired of hearing how wonderful the Colts/Patriots/Steelers/Cowboys are. Seems the sportswriters forget about the other teams - especially those teams out west. Love to see it when those "elite" teams get humbled by a west coast team. Ya ya... those four teams have great records and history etc., I'm not belittling their talents and what they've achieved. I'm just sick of hearing about them ALL THE TIME! The media hypes them up so much, it's a disservice to the rest of the teams. So don't send hate mail. So it's nice to see one of "teacher's pets"* get knocked down a little. * Media Favorites Quote
Super User Tin Posted November 12, 2007 Super User Posted November 12, 2007 It's nice to see an underdog win. But when you live in New England, its impossible to root for anyone else. I would like to see some different teams break out this year (Titans, Green Bay, even the Bucs are a top the nfc south). Most teams from New England wont be an underdog this year though , it seems like Boston will be title-town this year, lol. Red Sox=World Series, Patriots=Best team of all time???, Celtics are still 5-0, Bruins, ahhh still waiting on. Heck even the New England Revolution (MLS) are in the finals. lol. It's a good year to live up here Quote
Super User 5bass Posted November 12, 2007 Super User Posted November 12, 2007 Yep, I hate hearing about those teams too....especially the Cowgirls. Cant stand 'em. Now New England, they are GOOD, there really isnt any need to deny that, its just so obvious that they are better than everybody else. And speaking of west coast teams, my Raiders are just sand-bagging this year so they can get a couple more O-linemen early in the draft next year. After the draft they'll break out JaMarcus Russell and the new O-line and storm right into the playoffs.....so dont worry, next year you'll be hearing about the Raiders on a daily basis. Quote
Super User Tin Posted November 12, 2007 Super User Posted November 12, 2007 I think you jinxed it lol, 21 unanswered points by the Colts, 23-21. But its starting to rain, Peyton might melt, to used to playing in the RCA dome. ;D Quote
Super User Hookemdown. Posted November 12, 2007 Super User Posted November 12, 2007 I just don't see a "simulated snap" on that play. Anyway, great game, I can't believe he missed that kick. Quote
Troutfisher Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 Well, at least the Steelers won, ..... Quote
Jake. Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 Phew! I thought San Diego had blown it for sure... Did anyone see that one handed pick by Cromartie? Amazing. Quote
Cephkiller Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 Of course I'm disappointed the Colts lost, but the fact that they were in position to win that game with only one starting receiver and half an O-line makes me very optimistic for the near future. Also, the inadvertent whistle, the missed pass interference call, six interceptions and the two missed field goals by "money" Vinatieri. The legends of Dungy and Manning has only grown in my mind. JCrzy4Bass Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 Where did this guy come from? Last week he runs back a 109 yard td return on a kick and now he has 3 interceptions on the second best qb in the league in ONE NIGHT! Absolutely amazing athlete. I hope we see more great play from this kid. I had never even heard of him before tonight. Not a common household name... but he's starting to be now. Quote

Super User FishTank Posted November 12, 2007 Super User Posted November 12, 2007 Manning had 6 interception and the Colts still had a chance to win. I would have preferred a blowout instead of the gut renching ending we recieved. Venatari maybe getting a visit from the executioner . Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted November 12, 2007 Super User Posted November 12, 2007 Glenn, ESPY material!!!!!!! Quote
Fisher of Men Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 I'm with Ceph on this one. I see this as motivation for the Colt team to come back stronger. I'm always afraid of a team that peaks too early in the season and flops in the playoffs (kind of like the Colts of two or three years ago). If they can come back healthy by the end of the season, look out. They'll be right there to challenge the Pats. Unfortunately, it will be on New England's home turf (especially after this loss to San Diego). Quote
