Super User Hookemdown. Posted October 14, 2007 Super User Posted October 14, 2007 It's still early in the season, but with all the wild games today I'd like to see who you think still has a chance for the Nat'l Championship. What's you top 5? I got... 1. South Florida (they're for real people...wake up) 2. Ohio State (they're no. 2...for now.) 3. LSU (still in the top 3...probably still the best team in the country) 4. Oklahoma ( Dang Buffs >) 5. USC - as in South Carolina Quote
Ky_Lake_Dude Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 1#Ohio State 2#Boston College 3# South Florida 4#Oklahoma 5#LSU Quote
Super User KU_Bassmaster. Posted October 14, 2007 Super User Posted October 14, 2007 Ohio State Oklahoma Boston College South Florida LSU ...... Still think LSU is the best team in the country thus far, but beatable It will be interesting to see the BCS rankings this week. Quote
Super User Catt Posted October 14, 2007 Super User Posted October 14, 2007 This has been the wildest college football season in years Every year I play the Yahoo College Football Pick'em, this year I'm 107-31 which aint bad but by the 7th week I usually have missed around 20-22. Makes me almost scared to pick anyone so I'll wait on the BCS and regroup. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted October 14, 2007 Super User Posted October 14, 2007 USF and BC... ;D Quote
Super User Catt Posted October 14, 2007 Super User Posted October 14, 2007 BCS standings 1. Ohio State 2. South Florida 3. Boston College 4. LSU 5. Oklahoma 6. South Carolina 7. Kentucky 8. Arizona State 9. West Virginia 10. Oregon Quote
Ballpark Frank Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 Trying to figure out how OSU deserves No.1 ranking? Who have they played? Oh yeah, No.23(at the time) Purdue. Reminds me of the favoritism that Notre Dame gets usually. Quote
Super User Hookemdown. Posted October 15, 2007 Author Super User Posted October 15, 2007 BCS standings 1. Ohio State 2. South Florida 3. Boston College 4. LSU 5. Oklahoma 6. South Carolina 7. Kentucky 8. Arizona State 9. West Virginia 10. Oregon South Florida? BC? South Carolina? Kentucky? Arizona State?... who are these people? Where's Notre Dame? Quote
jeremyt Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 Maybe just my dumb intuition, but I really think it will come down to LSU and OKI. Some of the other teams are good, but just aren't in the conferences to convince me. Quote
Super User Root beer Posted October 15, 2007 Super User Posted October 15, 2007 Pac-10 getting no love AGAIN > Why should they? Ohio state dont deserve no love either. ;D Quote
zara spook Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 1. SOUTH CAROLINA...Spurrier is a football genius 2. OSU 3. LSU 4. Boston College 5. USF...cause every blind hog finds an ear of corn someday. Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted October 16, 2007 Super User Posted October 16, 2007 Its too early. South Fla, still has 3 key games to get by, Rutgers on Thursday night I believe, Louisville, and Cincinatti, which just lost first game. South Carolina and the rest of the SEC still got some games to sort their mess out, and SEC championship. VT is still over-rated in my book, there victories haven't been impressive enough. OU got its first test against Miszzou, other than that, they haven't had a tough schedule. Freshmen at QB, give them 2-3 years to make serious run for the title. Pac 10 will sort themselves out also. Big Ten will see Michigan or Ohio State coming out of that conference. Even though Michigan got beat twice already, they did score some points, so offense wasn't lacking, it was defense, and that appears to have been patched. OSU maybe the sleeper to walk in to the title game. Still alot of football to be played. Hookem Matt Quote
bocabasser Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 south florida is for real! everyone knows that the best athletes come from our great state of florida. wait another year or 2 and the hurricanes will be back. Quote
Olebiker Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 1. SOUTH CAROLINA...Spurrier is a football genius You probably ought to put a smiley face next to that statement, otherwise folks might think you are serious. : Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted October 16, 2007 Super User Posted October 16, 2007 1. SOUTH CAROLINA...Spurrier is a football genius. The Washington Redskins didn't think so. Quote
Big T Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Steve Spurrier is genius when it come sto the college game but he did not do so hot when he was at Washington or in the old USFL. But I must say as a diehard Redskins fan Daniel Scneider is all that either, I mean this guy has the money to put a great footlball team on the field but until this year has put together a team that could easily be whipped buy some college programs. Quote
Ky_Lake_Dude Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 but until this year has put together a team that could easily be whipped buy some college programs. i have to disagree here because I don't think a great college team could beat even the worst NFL team because all the guys on an NFL team were good enough to get signed with an NFL team. The majority of college players won't make it to the NFL. Quote
Super User Catt Posted October 17, 2007 Super User Posted October 17, 2007 Comparing coaching in pro football with coachiing in college football is not possible; at the college level the coach has total control of the team while at the pro level one has owners to deal with (Jim Jones or Al Davis). At the college level players listen to the coaches while at the pro level players think they above anyone (T.O.). Quote

In CB, they play for the love of the game. What do yall think about USF getting the #2 Rating (I think they should be no.1) Do you think that they deserve it? Quote
