bassmasta7 Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 As i post the 400th post of this thread, I fell like it is neccessary to watch the bottom of the 9th. Maybe its a sign... Quote
bassmasta7 Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 ... of things to come. Getting so close and blowing it. Good game Cards. I really like Tony LaRussa's strategy. Get all the losing out of the way and the blown saves so that when we get to the playoffs we will have used all of our losses already. We wont have any more left so the only thing we can do is win. TONY IS A GENIUS! Quote
RiskKid. Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 bassmasta you are a true fan...........it's gettin ridiculous red bird nation.....quit messin around and git er done.....I'd hate it if Pujols had to sell beer and peanuts to get to see the playoffs.....now lets get serious guys and get to the dance Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 Riskkid you are so right. They need to quit goofing around and get to winning. Quote
Guest the_muddy_man Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 Six games left and the Philthies lookin better than the birds They better wake up or Tony will have enough time to write an encyclopedia Quote
Super User senile1 Posted September 27, 2006 Super User Posted September 27, 2006 I hear they're going to try Pujols as a closer. He does everything else for them. : Quote
MuchyMan Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 i love the redsox but the mets look great Quote
bassmasta7 Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 At least the 'Stros are losin' by 5 tonight. Quote
bassmasta7 Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 I think im gonna puke. Houston comes back and ties it in the 9th (now in 11th). Stupid Tyler Johnson throws a wild pitch and lets in the leading run in the bottom of the 9th. If the cards cant pull off a victory, i think it will be johnson's 3rd loss on this streak. If Houston wins and STL cant come back.... it's not lookin' good. Quote

bassmasta7 Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 The whole post-season outlook is going to change in the next 30min. Quote
Super User senile1 Posted September 28, 2006 Super User Posted September 28, 2006 Albert is the man. Three run homer in the bottom of the ninth. Astros and Pirates tied in extra innings. Come on Pirates. Sorry, Astros fans. Quote
RiskKid. Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 FEELIN GOOD TO BE A YANKEE FAN THESE DAYS Quote
Guest the_muddy_man Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 Why did Seinbrenner croak did I miss something????? Quote
RiskKid. Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 Nooooo........it's because Pedro is pitchin and cryin for the Met's Quote
Guest the_muddy_man Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 Risk I gotta actually go with you on that one, this guy shold come with a case of Klenex BIG GAMMERS DONT WHINE he and Glavine are the 2 holes in our team that can cost us this trip Why dont they just change the name of that other team to THE SAINT LOUIS ALBERTS AND THE 8 OTHER MOOKS THAT KEEP GETIIN IN HIS WAY Quote
Super User senile1 Posted September 28, 2006 Super User Posted September 28, 2006 I don't know. Albert has been in a mini-slump too. During the 7 game losing streak he only had 2 RBIs and no home runs. Instead of the whole team slumping at the same time, they need to hit a hot streak at the same time, and that time is now or never. Quote
bassmasta7 Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 I was thinkin' about that right before last nights game senile but the big man comes through to end the streak. A lot of those games were one run loses so if albert had an rbi or two the cards wouldnt of had that streak. Quote

Siebert Outdoors Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 Thanks for that page out of the Yankee's guidline book. Quote

A lot of those games were one run loses so if albert had an rbi or two the cards wouldnt of had that streak. Yeah, Albert can't win 'em all. When he's down, one of the other players needs to fill the void and it ain't happening. I read or heard that 19 of his home runs this year were game winners. (I think this is the correct number.) I'm not talking about walk-off homers but home runs that resulted in the runs that put the Cardinals ahead to stay in a game. How's that for carrying your team! Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 Looks like we are on a roll again. Quote
bassmasta7 Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 It's pretty much a loss tonight and houston won today so it will only be a 1/2 GAME LEAD. This is embarissing. Here are my final predictions. STL loses tonight(obviously). 1/2game lead heading into tomorrow. Astros win tomorrow and cards lose. Saturday Astros lose to Braves and Cards beat Brewers. Astros win and Cards win on final day of the season. Cards win division. I will probably go to the ATL HOU game sunday if it determines the cards fate. Quote
RiskKid. Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 While watching the football game tonight they announced Pedro is done for the year. The way the Mets are going doesn't look like they are quite the same team as earlier on. I'll have to admit the NL is alot more interesting this year. Hope you Card fans get this done without havin a heart attack.....they sure are makin it hard on you guys! Quote
