Guest the_muddy_man Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Without getting too deep TRACHEL SUKS anyway Albert is getting dangerous and we lack starting pitching Im a life long Mets fan and I am a realist also Have to be spending so many seasons in the basement I told you Card fans that counting the CaRDS OUT IS A BIG MISTAKE THIS AINT LOOKING GOOD Quote
RiskKid. Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 The MOJO is in the Motor City.....seven straigt wins......They're in Motown Quote
Guest the_muddy_man Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Hey Gameover there aint no such thing as destiny in baseball, like crying! Truth is the Cards have better pitching and Albert thats hard to beat I said anyine who counts the Cards out is a fool now watch We need to Replace our starters over the next 2 seasons to actually get a shot at the whole thing We can still beat the Cards but my team would have no chance against Detroit thats not about destiny its all about pitching I hope Wagner is closing doors somewhere else next year b/c he cant close games when you really need them Pedro is the 2nd biggest crybabay in professional sports history( for first see LAMBIEER <DETROIT PISTONS) Glavine is galant and Trachel has reaped the benfit of the Mets run production hes 15-3 on the season WITH A 5.05 ERA YIKES !!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
bassmasta7 Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Muddy, I havent heard that in a long time, "the Cards have better pitching." But it is true. Wow how bout them Tigers going to the World Series after a walkoff HR. That seems messed up that they were done with the series before the Cards and Mets had played game 3. Enjoy the week off! Maybe that will help the NL champ in some way. The Mets pen has to be tired. With Oliver Perez pitching, they may have to go to them in the first inning or ninth inning. Cards pitching Reyes, uh oh. This game has the potential to be a great young pitching duel or a blow-out because these pitchers are so inconsistant. Quote
Guest the_muddy_man Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 This is the most imortant game of the 06 season for the Mets Lets get it on 8:15pm EST good luck Card Fans I hope we take this one Quote
Super User K_Mac Posted October 16, 2006 Super User Posted October 16, 2006 Yikes!!!! Looks like we're going back to NY. :-? Quote
Guest the_muddy_man Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 Whew we are still alive! Bats finally waking up. Another note on McCarver he knew early on that reyes was tipping his pitches the mans among the best. Quote
Guest the_muddy_man Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 THATS IT YOU GUYS ARE SUNK I GOT THE MET MOJO NOW I went to Zels house today to start working on a CAST project. When I got there he gave me a Mets Jersey #5 Wright I couldnt belive his generosity THANK YOU ZEL any way When I got home and put the game on I also put the jersey Wright got his first hit and they put 12 runs up , after going 14 scorless innings I WILL BE WEARING THAT JERSEY EVERY GAME FROM NOW TILL THE SERIES MET MOJO thank you Zel Quote
Super User senile1 Posted October 16, 2006 Super User Posted October 16, 2006 Well, we knew the Mets bats would eventually come to life. Weaver is on the mound tonight. Can he pitch as good as he did in game 1? We'll see. What has happened to my favorite player and why is he shooting his mouth off? I'm sure you guys have heard about Pujols comments concerning Glavine. If not, read the link below: http://www.sportsline.com/columns/story/9730509/1 I'm still a Pujols fan, but I think he needs to relax a little. Quote
RiskKid. Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 Sounds like Muddy's Met MOJO is getting to Albert Hope the Mets didn't use up all their runs last night....they sure put em up there! Quote
Guest the_muddy_man Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 Hey Risk when I saw all those runs going up I thought the same thing hope thats not all they have and I wish they do the same for the Trash Mans next start He spots every team at least 5 runs WORST POSTSEASON START IN THE HISTORY OF THE GAME Hey Senile Albert is trying to jump start his team LaRussa should be doing that You think he would show some emotion and drive hes fighting for the WS He is such a great regular season manager but like Mr Cox over in Atlanta he kinnda looses his edge in the Post Season Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 Ouch that one hurt last night. I hope that was a one nighter :-? I saw Reyes start last night and was like, "this game is over!" Note to Cards managers. Dont pitch Weaver past 5 innings Quote
Zel Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 Your very welcome Muddy, hope the mojo continues for your Mets. I just wish I could find some good mojo for my Phillies. It was great meeting half of the "mooks" for our initial CAST meeting. If anyone ever wonders if The Muddy Man is for real with his kindness and generosity I'm here to tell you he not only talks the talk, he really walks the walk. Quote
Guest the_muddy_man Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 Thank You Zel so do you my friend. Your expertise is gonna get this CAST thing off the ground, I am anxious to see what Im gonna learn from all of this Phillies phan huh Lets see what we can do about this. 8-) Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 Phillies phan huh Lets see what we can do about this. 8-) Hey Muddy dont be corrupting a future Cards fan. Quote
RiskKid. Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 Phillies phan huh Lets see what we can do about this. 8-) I think you should just follow your guy Bobby Abreu.....we'd love to have you as a fan! Quote
Super User K_Mac Posted October 16, 2006 Super User Posted October 16, 2006 I hate the game being rained out, just when we had some momentum going from last night. :-? ;D Seriously, we would probably better playing tonight with Glavine going on three days rest. His history with short rest is not good. one thing for sure , tomorrow will be a big game for the Birds. Going to NY needing 2 wins is not a good spot to be in. Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 I was thinking earlier(ya ya) and which ever team wins Mets/Card they will only have 2 days rest if this goes 7 games. The tigers will be rested up for about 1.5 weeks. They have a huge advantage over their competition. Quote
Guest the_muddy_man Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 Hey G I think its going 7 games i was thinkin the same thing Only pitchers who throw a lot of junk and breaking balls sometimes benifit from a tired arm Quote
Guest the_muddy_man Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 Wow GAME 5 Glavine the sly old fox in one of the major battles of his career and I GOTTA WORK Quote
Guest the_muddy_man Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 Hey Im at work its 5;30pm est DID WE GET RAINED OUT AGAIN? Quote
Super User KU_Bassmaster. Posted October 17, 2006 Super User Posted October 17, 2006 Right now it looks like they should play ...... Game On!!!!!!! Quote
Guest the_muddy_man Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Yea Yea!!!!!!!!!! You guys may not agree with this But I hope Glavine pitches the game of his life tonite. Not b/c it only helps my METS but this may be an old warriors last go around and what a great way to top a wonerful career 8-) Oh and did I mention it also would put the series at 3 to 2 Mets : Quote
YankeesWin Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 I agree Muddy... Let Glavin have his day NOW... before he passes on. ;D ;D (seriously, I think he's great, and he deserves to be treated with ALOT Quote
