Guest the_muddy_man Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Hey Val; Beats me good links though who cares if you gotta move em around a little wasnt doin anything anyway Quote
CJ Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Yeah Gman I'm plenty old enough and would love to join ya but my drinkin' days are over.I like Mountain Dew and a good atmosphere though! I think it's going to come down to the Cards and the Mets.I hope it does this thread could hit a 1000 post! Do you know why Mr.Met's head is so big?........From choking! Quote
Guest the_muddy_man Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Actually it's from gettin hit with all the Late Inning Home Runs Izzy Dishes Quote
RiskKid. Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Gee Whiz.......guess I'm gonna have to wait for the World Series to come visit.....it's tough being an AL fan round these parts.....especially when the Bosox take 3 of 4 from my Yanks (it still matters even if they are out) Maybe I could be the impartial commentator for the NL games ;D ;D ;D Quote
CJ Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Yeah...we really don't like the Yankees or their fans around here! ;DJ/K(about the fans anyway) Don't worry there will be no more homers hit off Izzy this year! Quote
Guest the_muddy_man Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Beltran hit it twice that I can remember, Wright hit it once and your Puljos creamed it in batting pratice so far this year Quote
CJ Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 I didn't know that. That's funny! You mean he's still alive after Pujols hit him.I think it's rumored that some third basemen are asking to be traded to the AL for fear of Pujols! Quote
Guest the_muddy_man Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 I think its just a stinkin excuse to get off that Pirates Squad : Quote
Super User K_Mac Posted September 19, 2006 Super User Posted September 19, 2006 We don't need Izzy to give up 9th inning runs. Without solid pitching even Pujols isn't enough. Quote
Guest the_muddy_man Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 WE ARE IN waiting for those birds ;D ;D Quote
Valascus Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Yeah!! How bout them Dodgers y'all...4...count 'em...4 CONSECUTIVE home runs in the bottom of the ninth to take the game to extras. 2 of 'em off of Trevor Hoffman. That has got to be absolutely demoralizing to the Padres. The Pads get the lead back in the tenth only to have Nomar hit a walk off homer to end the madness. The Dodgers are only the 4th team to do that in history and the first one to do it in almost 40 years. Brings a whole new meaning to breaking out the whoopin' stick. Go Dodgers...the Cards would LOVE to see you in the NLDS. Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 Uht OH, pujols just might have got hurt. We better hope not! Quote
RiskKid. Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 Here we all are talking about the Mets, Cards, Yankees (at least I am), Twins and Tigers. No one is saying anything about the Dodgers, Padres, A's, Chisox or even the Phillies. We better be careful or the upset monkey will visit Congrats Muddy on being the first in Quote
bassmasta7 Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 The A's were SI's World Series winners this year but no body cares about west coast teams. They would be good if all their pitching was healthy Zito, Harden, Haren, Blanton. Danny Haren was about the only pitcher in the 2004 WS that did good for the Cards. The A's dont look to bad at all. They could be a big surprise. In the NL the only teams that are legit. contenders are Dodgers, Padres, Cards, Mets, and Phils. The only AL teams that are legit contenders are A's, Twins, Tigers, and Yanks. IMO, everyone else is out of it. It will take a huge collapse for another team to get into the mix (Less than 2 weeks left in the regular season). I would not be surprised if the Phils sneak into the playoffs after the Padres collapse. If they do then my MVP vote would go to Ryan Howard(Not the one on The Office). Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 Congrats Muddy on being the first in Just like in business. The term FIFO First in First Out. Quote
