Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted October 29, 2007 Super User Posted October 29, 2007 What is a good contrast ratio with regards to buying a new TV. I see numbers ranging from 1000:1 all the way up to ridiculously large numbers. I have read what contrast ratio is, but I am still having a hard time determining what a generally "good" number would be. If more info is needed for an educated guess, please let me know.
