Broken hand

so I thought I'd be able to get in some fall fishing in the next few days. Not so much, I have "boxers fracture" in my right hand. Bummer.

I had the same thing in my left hand.  Landed a 30 foot jump (skiing) and landed on hard pack and ice.  When my left pole came down and planted, the jolt gave me 5 hairline fractures and 1 fully broken metacarpal.

Luckily, these small bones are quick healers (compared to a femur, fibula, etc)

I had the same exact thing last winter.  The cast SUCKS!!!  I broke my left hand too, and I'm left handed.  I think I had the cast on for 2 months, but I was able to fish.  Only problem was, I couldn't palm the reel in my casted hand, so I had to buy a few left handed b-casters.  Setting the hook was the weirdest thing ever.
