Guest muddy Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 Get Smart was great but for me there is one great sitcom and a lot of others that come in second for me the all time sitcom, WHICH CONTRIBUTED TO THE USE OF THE WORD MOOK IS THE HONEY MOONERS Quote

Guest avid Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 Wow - no votes for "I love Lucy" Ok. let me be the first. So much of what you see done in sitcoms today was pioneered by lucy, desi and the Mertz's. LUCY>>>>>>>>>>>>I"M HOME YOU GOT SOME 'SPLAININ' TO DO ;D ;D ;D Quote

Panamoka_Bassin Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 Another one of those threads where its impossibly for me to narrow it down to just one... Seinfeld Simpsons I Love Lucy Fawlty Towers Hogan's Heros The Odd Couple Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted October 7, 2007 Super User Posted October 7, 2007 The old ones were the best in my opinion. All in the family Sanford and Son Chico and the Man Mash Hogans Heroes but Honeymooners has to be the all time best. Only sitcom I watch now is Seinfeld reruns. Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted October 7, 2007 Super User Posted October 7, 2007 Almost forgot and haven't seen it mentioned. What about SOAP. That show was fricking hilarious with Billy Crystal. Quote

Super User Hookemdown. Posted October 8, 2007 Super User Posted October 8, 2007 OLD:M*A*S*H I have seen every single episode of this show. I absolutely love it. However, I wouldn't call the last few years of it a comedy, it was more of a drama. NEW: The Office I don't know why this show is so good...but it is. Quote
Bream Master Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 Seinfeld and The Wonder Years. If they made more shows like these nowadays, maybe I might watch more TV. Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted October 8, 2007 Super User Posted October 8, 2007 Sitcoms have come along ways from the ones I grew up with. Archie and Edith take the honors, Archie broke ground that others wouldn't even try to. All in the Family Mash Lets not forget one that gave us Norm, Coach, Woody Cheers. The Jefferson's I also have to give honorable mention to Mel's Diner with Flo. Another good one was Mama's Family. Sitcoms was the title, but I sure can think of some funny variety shows. Carol Burnet, Dean Martin, Flip Wilson, Roland and Martins Laugh-In. Hee Haw. Matt Quote
