Super User Matt Fly Posted October 11, 2007 Super User Posted October 11, 2007 No respect for the Cowboys, and thats okay. A little quick refresher, Patriots have faced teams with a combined record of 7-17 and the boys are something like 6-19 or close. Neither team has played a good or great team. San Diego was supposed to be early test for NE, and the real Chargers or the Chargers from 2006 didn't show up. The Boys real test was supposed to be Da Bears, and that didn't pan out to well either. No matter what happens, NE will get first test against 2nd best Offense in NFL, and Cowboys will see the best offense in action as well. If you gamble, as of today, I'd take the points and the boys just because this isn't the Boys of post triplets era any more. We have a young QB that is very capable. 15 games is all the action he has seen in the NFL, he's over 4000 yards in 15 games. The boys wiill go 6-0 this early season. I don't care if its an UGLY win again. Winning is what its about. I see the same problem for both teams. Espn has said Ben Watson will make the difference, as no Cowboy will be able to cover him, specially Roy Williams when he gets singled up coverage on him. That apply's to NE and covering Whitten as well. I believe the analysts are taking a proven winner, Brady. Not me, Die Hard Cowboys Fan. Hey so far, we have something that we haven't had in a few years. A kicker!!!!!!! Go Cowboys Dallas 31-30 Matt Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 I'm sorry dude, but I dont think the boys will win this one. I really dislike the Pats but unfortunately I think they are going to win. I'll bet a hand poured drop shot worm 4.5" on it. : I forgot the score 34-27 Patriots win. Boooo but I think thats the way it will go. As much as I dislike Brady he is a good QB. Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 I'll see that worm and raise you 1 cane toad. Oh wait,....I'm a New England fan. ;D Quote
Jake. Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 It's not even going to be that close. I really don't like the pats, but: Patriots 28 Cowboys 13 Quote

May the best team win on sunday, whoever you are cheering for its sure to be a dynamite game. Good Luck Cowboys fans(just not too much luck). Go Patriots... ;D ;D ;D Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted October 12, 2007 Author Super User Posted October 12, 2007 Thats the same attitude everyone had when Peyton Brought his undefeated Colts into Dallas last year also. They went down rather easily. Drop shot worns, those are for sissy's. Ya'll need to remember, Fork is in my back yard!!! Go big or stay at home!!!!LOL Rarely do you see me with a spinning rod, unless I'm pan fishing. Go Cowboys, Matt Quote

Go Cowboys, Matt I too live by that motto Big baits for big fish. I have to temper that somewhat cause 2-3 months out of the year. My lake gets a little chunky if you know what I mean. Watching SUV/PUs on your lake knowing that the ice is +20" thick is disheartening, to say the least. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted October 12, 2007 BassResource.com Administrator Posted October 12, 2007 I'm not a fan of either team. Too much hype for an easy season (so far) for both. It's undeserving. Going to Texas Stadium is not a hardship for New England, it is simply an opportunity to showcase its talent. The Patriots do the big things right and the little things just as well, and that includes playing their best football on the road and getting under the skin of those that allow it. That includes T.O. He so desperately wants the love and attention that comes with being the best that he is sure to be on edge Sunday. The fact that Moss is rolling into town will only make the hype and pressure that much greater. If things don't go well, look for him to explode...or implode, as it may be. That also includes Romo, who is accountable for ALL 6 turnovers in their last game. As a quarterback, there's no doubt that's on his mind going into this weekend. An early interception could mess with his confidence for the rest of the game. Look for the Pats to steamroll over the Cowboys. Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted October 12, 2007 Author Super User Posted October 12, 2007 I can only say that Brady is a winner and should be favored. He has never had the names to throw to like Peyton has. Randy and Tom are dangerous combo to defend. But they haven't faced anyone this year either!!!!!!!! So the only thing I give to NE is an Experienced QB. Stats are very close and similar. Neither team has beaten anyone to brag about. The hype comes from 5-0 teams meeting, after all, how often does this happen? Get your pop corn ready, i don't see a boring game at all. I also think Dallas has a shot to win this game out right. We'll see on Sunday. Hookem matt Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted October 12, 2007 Super User Posted October 12, 2007 Certainly a better chance than Stanford beating USC! Quote
Madhouse27 Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 I think this is going to be a one sided affair. New England 34-13 Quote
mattm Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 I'm rooting for Dallas of course, but thinking it going to be New England. I would almost rather lose the game though. If we have to play New England in the super bowl I would rather them have nothing to prove. Quote
Super User David P Posted October 14, 2007 Super User Posted October 14, 2007 I think this is going to be a one sided affair. New England 34-13 I agreed. I have been saying 34-17, so very close. Quote
Jake. Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 Tom Brady is a monster. 5 TDs and 337 yards passing already. Pats up 38-24. Quote
Super User 5bass Posted October 15, 2007 Super User Posted October 15, 2007 The Patriots look unstoppable..... and they flat out LAID THE SMACKDOWN on the Cowgirls! They did whatever they wanted, whenever they wanted.....Cowgirls didnt tackle well, couldnt guard the receivers, minimal pressure on Brady, lots of penalties etc.... Patriots and Colts play Nov. 4th Quote
Super User David P Posted October 15, 2007 Super User Posted October 15, 2007 Thank god I got brady on my fantasy team. 44.5pnts. I traded LT though and could have had another 50pnts. 2 players for almost 100 points, holy cow! Brady is amazing. Plain and simple, best quarter back I have ever watched play. (I'm only 19 and haven't watched some of the all time greats play). Quote
Super User flechero Posted October 15, 2007 Super User Posted October 15, 2007 It was ugly. BUT considering all the penalties and sloppy play, the Cowboys played them better than any other team has. There's no shame in only being the 2nd or 3rd best team in the NFL at this point in the season. Quote
llPa1nll Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 It was a great game. I thought the Patriots would be in more trouble than they were were when they went down to their 3rd string RB. I thought the Patriots Defense played rather well the only bobble I saw was on Crayton's TD grab. The TD by Owens the Defenders tripped each other leaving Owens wide open for the easy run in. Dallas has some great RBs, personally I think Dallas's downfall seemed like every 10 plays the Cowboys would get a penalty, costly ones too. Patriots keep rolling, Patriots and Colts the only unbeatens. Next up at the Miami Dolphins then hosting the Redskins, after this hyped up game if I ever saw 2huge trap games it would be these 2 sandwiched between the Cowboys and the Colts. Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted October 15, 2007 Author Super User Posted October 15, 2007 Moss has torched us every chance he gets, and yesterday was no different, except he let his friends in on the action also. We took the lead early in the third quarter after holding the Pats opening drive. Moss don't look like the punk the analysts portrayed him to be all thses years. Its amazing when you believe in winning, and Brady is all about winning. Camera's didn't show it yesterday, but New England was eating pop corn on the sidelines the last minute or so of the game. Pretty funny. Wade is upset at New England for not taking a knee. I think Belacheat is gonna lite everyone up just to show them who's number one!!! New England at this time of the year is the better team, remember, we have said the same about Peyton before only to have Pitt or New England upset them in the playoffs with home field advantage. Good thing about the Pats, they are AFC and Dallas don't have to play them unless they make it to the big Dance. I still got 5 rings, so everything is not lost on one loss. Hookem matt Quote
