Super User Bassn Blvd Posted October 11, 2007 Author Super User Posted October 11, 2007 I f I was having trouble with the ol lady ( Which hasn't ever come to that yet) this would be the last place i would go to for advice, I would keep that for a relative or a close friend. Who's having a problem? Quote
Valascus Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 Well, we went to the doctor today. !st of all, thanks for all the comments. Some were constructive while others were just ............ My wife is only 17 weeks pregnant and is far from ever being lazy. As soon as she confirmed she was pregnant though, I noticed a change in her activity. Her activity level went way down. I didn't know if it was her trying to baby herself or what. The doctor said today that her placinta (sp) is in a lower position than it should be and can be painful. In most cases it fixes itself towards the end of the pregnancy but if not, then it could be dangerous. Anyway, the doctor said the most strenuous exercise she can do right now is a mild walk. That's all I needed to hear. I will now be taking over her chores until further notice. I better not even catch her folding a towel. Oh yea, the doctor also said we were having another professional fisherMAN in the family. Congratulations with the pending addition of your little fisherMAN! Hopefully your wife's doctor is right and the placental position rights itself. The best you can do for her right now, is be there for her and try to make her as comfortable as possible. I apologize if I offended you in any of my previous posts. I was simply offering my OPINION on the matter with the information that had been provided. No harm or offense intended. Good luck with the rest of the pregnancy, and may it be a healthy and uneventful one! Quote

I hope your wife's pain is short lived. (and glad to hear that you are going to pick up extra chores) Hope that comment doesn't upset too many people. ...lol Best, keith Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 All I can say is UGH. I never expected this to be a place where enemies were formed and certainly not by folks whom I respect. FROM BOTH SIDES How about a group hug? Forgive and accept? Out of the question? Let's just go fishin'.........I hate seeing friends go at it. Especially fishing friends going at it over something like "marriage" It's a different thing to every married couple out there, take it for what it is to you and move on. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted October 11, 2007 BassResource.com Administrator Posted October 11, 2007 Fletch - your response did nothing to alleviate the situation. I expect better from you. > Quote

Super User flechero Posted October 12, 2007 Super User Posted October 12, 2007 Thanks for the gut check, Preach, it's warranted and needed.... I appreciate the response. You are absolutely right, none of this should have been public. You'd make someone an awesome accountability partner. Thanks, Keith Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted October 12, 2007 BassResource.com Administrator Posted October 12, 2007 And just for the record, there's a few things the mods are doing behind the scenes regarding this situation and the parties involved. It may seem on the surface not much is happening, but trust that there is. No need to bring it out in public. Just wanted ya'll know everyone is being held accountable - no favorites. Quote

Super User Bassn Blvd Posted October 12, 2007 Author Super User Posted October 12, 2007 Thank you guys, and gals, for all the support. I can't wait to buy him his 1st fishing rod. Does Loomis and Shimano make one small and lite enough for an infant? Quote
