Super User Catt Posted September 7, 2007 Author Super User Posted September 7, 2007 Sounded like a couple of them Texas teams I played high school football in Louisiana until my junior year then we moved to Cleveland Texas north of Houston talk about an eye opener. The high school I went to in Louisiana LaGrange only coached run offence; I was a defensive back so I don't do much as far as passing defense but when I got to Cleveland it was 300-400 yard passing games. RWHusker. Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 Dude Sept 15 we are playing Middle Tennessee not Nebraska Back to top Catt, I wasn't aware you had Middle Tenn, what I was saying is that USC's next game was in Lincoln vs Nebraska. A Cornhusker win would put LSU in 1st. I assumed you would become a Cornhusker fan for a little while. GO BIG RED Quote
Super User Catt Posted September 7, 2007 Author Super User Posted September 7, 2007 Ahh the light goes off in the little pea brain, I know I'm a little slow sometimes Quote
Big T Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 I do not see Nebraska beating USC, they are just not the powerhouse that they were ten or twenty years ago. Pete Carroll has built a powerhouse at USC, they are way better than Nebraska. Quote

Pete Carroll has built a powerhouse at USC, they are way better than Nebraska. Yep on paper they are one of the creams of the crop again this year. Does anyone remember a game awhile back, I think everyone in the nation said the same thing for a team called the Wolverines. No way Appalachain state could beat Michigan and yet they did. In Michigan no less!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is college, even the lowly Trojans can be beat. Have you forgotten 2005 when ESPN was doing the "GREATEST COLLEGE TEAMS EVER", THEY announced the USC 2005 team as the greatest ever, and then Texas whooped them in front of the nation. Have you forgotten the two losses that USC had last year. Granted Pete has some studs, but even Pete's teams get beat. I will also be rooting for USC to go down by the hands of the Huskers. Go Big XII. Hookem Matt Quote
Super User Catt Posted September 7, 2007 Author Super User Posted September 7, 2007 Any team can be beaten on any day Quote
RWHusker. Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 I agree we are not the team that dominated the 90's. But Lincoln, NE is Lincoln, NE. There will be 86,000 wearing red and let me guarantee that it wont be the socialites we seen at the colisium last year. I realize that USC will be and should be favored. But I also believe that I have the chance on Sunday, September 16th and from that day forward to say, "I was there for the greatest upset in Nebraska History." It should be so much fun, as I stated the anticipation is wild in Nebraska, I can't wait. GO BIG RED Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted September 7, 2007 Super User Posted September 7, 2007 Cornhuskers rock! Good luck! 8-) Quote
Bizzo Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 I remember when Nebraska beat Miami for the title, watching those Nebraska lineman stand on the sideline in the 4th quarter with their hands on their hips, while Warren Sapp laid on a bench sucking oxygen, a beautiful thing. Nebraska has the best strength and conditioning program in the country, which is why they always have a chance to beat ya. Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted September 10, 2007 Super User Posted September 10, 2007 Tom Osborne was a coach to be reckoned with. I'm looking forward to seeing USC play a better team, We will see just how good they are. Great game for LSU Catt. I told ya ECU moved the ball okay on VT, and I didn't see why LSU should be scared with no offense from VT. By the Way, CFU did what I though Okla. St was gonna do to Georgia, upset them and their current #16 ranking, but Georgia being over ranked at number 10 worked also. Matt Quote
RiskKid. Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 AHHHHHH......it was great to be back in Neyland Stadium Saturday night with 106,000 friends all decked out in orange and white. Nothing like a big time college game for a great time....you just have to love the atmosphere......winning the game makes it that much better! Hope we're ready for the Gators.....I'm upset minded this week!!!!!! CATT, I agree about those Bayou Tigers.....they look awfully impressive, I'm glad they rotated out of our schedule.....and Mississippi State rotated in....how lucky is that!!!! Quote
Super User Catt Posted September 10, 2007 Author Super User Posted September 10, 2007 Miracles never cease; I just read Terry Bowden article I know Southern California was off this past week, and has done nothing to warrant a drop in the rankings. But if the voting is going to be done each week and it is going to be based on the body of work to date no one has looked as good against good opposition as LSU did Saturday night. That's why I moved LSU up to No. 1 on my list. Matt, Georgia is now at #25 With all the talk about Nick Saban at Alabama y'all better look out for Steve Spurrier & South Carolina now at #17. Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted September 11, 2007 Super User Posted September 11, 2007 Give Spurrier another year of his draft classes and the SEC is gonna get even tougher. Two SEC ranked teams have falled thus far, there will be more. How does Georgia stay in the rankings for getting beat by a lower team? Major upset!@!!!!!!!!!!! Matt Quote
Super User Catt Posted September 11, 2007 Author Super User Posted September 11, 2007 There are many teams making moves in all conferences, Middle Tenn. St. gave Louisville a run for their money, Louisiana Tech made a run at Hawaii who would have thought that, the Ragin Cajuns played tough. I love it and I see a couple of more major upsets coming Quote
BassHunter69 Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 Mr Catt, whats your take on the alabama, ark game based on the preformance of alabama for this coming up week. however when alabama plays l.su we got out work cut out for us since lsu has the defence from hell. Quote
Super User Catt Posted September 11, 2007 Author Super User Posted September 11, 2007 I've picked Arkansas to win in a tough fought game, while Nick Saban will be a major impact at Alabama it's going to take a couple of years. Quote
BassHunter69 Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 i'll remember you said that catt but if alabama wins you can send me a couple of senok's ;D ;D Quote

BassHunter69 Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 in that case i'll call saban and tell him he betta win againist arkie lol ;D Quote

I don't see Alabama's Defense stopping the best back in the nation. Give Nick, Steve a chance to get their talent recruited and the Sec is gonna be even bigger war zone on Saturdays. matt Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted September 11, 2007 Super User Posted September 11, 2007 i'll remember you said that catt but if alabama wins you can send me a couple of senok's ;D ;D I don't know if Catt throws senkos, even if he does, he has something else in his tackle box that appears to work on multiple bodies of water. you can always get senkos, but finding out what his favorite go to worm would be my choice. Super User Matt Fly Posted September 18, 2007 Super User Posted September 18, 2007 I've picked Arkansas to win in a tough fought game, while Nick Saban will be a major impact at Alabama it's going to take a couple of years. The Tide rolls in close one, looked like it was blow out to start with at 21-0 in first quarter. What is your assessment thus far with the Tides play Catt? Got them senkos in the mail? Hookem Matt Quote
Super User Catt Posted September 18, 2007 Author Super User Posted September 18, 2007 Sabans defense will always be better than his offense but we'll see what he can do with Georgia. I'll gladly give up some Senkos; BassHunter69 what color and send to where? Quote
BassHunter69 Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 some how i knew saban was going to win that game ;D Quote
