I know, thats even funnier!!!!!! Let the smack begin.......... Hope everyones team stays healthy, and we see some tight, edge of the seat games. Ya'll Hookem Matt Quote

I still havent gotten over that game 6 yet. I go to therapy often for that one. That and game 7 of the 2003 ALCS. Quote
Guest the_muddy_man Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Weel some more bad news: Bill Brunker was so tired of hearing it : he got despondent to where he threw himself in front of a bus: NOTHING HAPPEN THOUGH IT WENT BETWEEN HIS LEGS Quote
llPa1nll Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 :'( :'( :'( That hurts man, that hurts. I will say that 2004 made it all worthwhile. Especially seeing them win 4 in a row to come back from 3 down against the NYYs. How is it we get to talking about the Sox and Yankees in a football post....lol GO PATRIOTS!!! Quote

fish-fighting-illini Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Muddy, 50's and 60's? heck that would have been all about the NY Giants - Ya Tittle, Frank Gifford, Pat Summerall. That is a little far back for me but they had to have been one of the winningest teams in that era. And as far as rooting for a loser I'm a Cubs fan say no more. Just mentioning the Mets and the... Cubs in the same sentence is a crime in Illinois Quote
Guest the_muddy_man Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 The late 50's and the early 60's had names but no championships. I was 8 years old in 59 not much happend for the Giants, in any big way until Tark and then Simms and Taylor came around The Cubbies have a shot this year Quote
Super User Catt Posted August 28, 2007 Author Super User Posted August 28, 2007 Matt I don't care if it's UT or LSU as long as they whoop USC Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted August 29, 2007 Super User Posted August 29, 2007 Catt, what's the line on the LSU game? Quote
Super User Catt Posted August 29, 2007 Author Super User Posted August 29, 2007 Vegas has LSU +16.5 to +18.5 Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted August 29, 2007 Super User Posted August 29, 2007 That's all? Mississippi must have a couple of ringers in its line-up. Quote
Super User Catt Posted August 29, 2007 Author Super User Posted August 29, 2007 One should take every team in the SEC serious or you'll find yourself with a loss Really, how good is the SEC? To feed the ego a little more, the league has gone 7-1 in the BCS since 2001, with two national titles, and the lone blemish was Georgia's 38-35 upset loss to West Virginia in the 2006 Sugar Bowl. In that same time span, the Big Ten went 4-6 (with Ohio State winning three of those), the Big 12 went 3-6, and the ACC was 0-6. Quote
MuchyMan Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 im so pumped for some football. anyone here like michigan? Quote

Super User Catt Posted August 29, 2007 Author Super User Posted August 29, 2007 Michigan Wolverines gets national respect if they can find away to knock off the Ohio State Buckeyes, offense they have 18 returning starters and on defense they have 18 returning starters. Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted August 29, 2007 Super User Posted August 29, 2007 Texas' first big test will come against TCU, and Gary Patterson has had those guys ready to play a big team every year. Don't forget, they handed OU an opening day loss in Olkie land a few years ago, or was that last year? I respect TCU's program. They have been predicted to be the Boise State BCS buster this year. That only happens if UT goes down. I like Michigan for the Big Ten, got alot of talent back on offense, the key spots, QB, WR and RB are all seasoned, and they could have all came out, but decided to stay one more year. USC of the Pac 10, the program speaks for itself. I'll take LSU in the SEC because they have the players on both sides, and the QB has started in the past a few times, and he's looked good. The Big XII, OU has freshman QB, and if they can't control the game by running, then the QB will make mistakes, all freshmen do. A&M flat out has a winner a QB, he just knows how to win and he protects the ball better than any QB I have seen in awhile, 2 interceptions last season. A&M could be spoiler, and could win it this year. Fact, other than UT and OU. A&M is only team to win South title, 97 and 98. With that being said, I'll still take my Horns, Freshmen of the year, Colt McCoy, to win three in a row against OU. I'm ready for some football. Hookem, Matt Quote
