The other day I brought my tool chest and tools in to school. As soon as I got it there the kids were grabing my tools left and right. To make it worst the teacher as a bunch of tools that any one can use. Well after that happend I left my keys at home for the chest so know one would get in it. Well the kids were trying to get in my chest and get all my tools. I just said sorry its locked and I don't have the keys. Well with about one hour to go I see some kids looking really hard at my tool chest. So I go back to work and I finish doing what I was doing. When Iam done I look up and there puting a key in the lock. Iam just thinking its not going to work. Then they lift up the top and it opens. Well we belive the lock is busted. It wont turn even from the inside like it use to. So I had a talk with the teacher about this after class and hes going to talk with the class about this tomorrow. From a young age I learned you don't mees with a mans tools or tool chest. If its locked you really have no reason messing around in or near it. I have heard of people getting fired for grabing tools out of a open tool chest. That is some ones private proptery. I also know a lot of guys spend 5-10 grand for tools and a tool chest. So theres guys out there that you don't want to mess with. Iam one of them I have about 1,000 dollers in my chest. If I would have caught him or any one on the job doing that I would report them. Thats all I really have to say for now.

Tip you are going to half to learn to tell these people what you feel. >:(

Like you touch my tools I break your face ;D

But the answer to your question is ( yes you have the right to be mad and you also have the right to something about it.

There is no point in getting mad. Resolve the problem immediately. Report the situation to the person(s) in charge and demand that it be addressed.

I think breaking and entering is a felony.

Theft under a specific amount, like $500, is a misdemeaneor.

I totally agree with the above advice:  Go see the head of the school and let him/her know what is going on and that it has to stop.

Now, here are the consequences you will have to be ready to face:

1.  The hoodlums will make fun of you.

2.  You will be shunned by the hoodlums.

3.  Teachers will think you are the bad person since teachers know their subjects but that's about all.

4.  The hoodlums will do it again to get your goat.

Solution?  You could always let the tool box open with some cheap tools in it soaked in poison ivy.

(Of course this is not a good solution but it would be funny.)

You can remove your tool box and bring in only the tools you will need.

Get a friend to share your tool box so he will get ripped off, too and you can form a bond to argue your case.

Get a friend and use his tools and tool box.

Move to another school or tech center.

In other words, you are screwed if you do and screwed if you don't.

Is there anyway you can make friends with the hoodlums?  Be a part of their gang?  Be in the click?  Try that, too.  It may not be possible but give it a try.

Good luck.

Don 't know if you are trying to be funny or what, but your suggestion is absurd and ridiculous.

Tipptruck: "Excuse me sir , Mr judge, your honor, ya see, them kids were playing with me tools so I decided to beat them"

Mr Judge: "well sir Mr Tipptruck you are accused of beating & assault "

And Mr Tipptruck ends up paying a fine and goes to jail for listening to The Captain 's advice.  :o

RW 's advice is worthy of be taken in consideration, put a stop before it starts.

Former Mechanic, at 19 I thought my calling was working on Diesel's--NOT!

But, I do know that I always had someone getting into my tools- now it started out with respect, they'd ask I said yes and they'd put it back. Well of course it went to "he always says yes, so he won't care if I borrow it" and I wouldn't see it again either >:(

So I'd have to pee someone off for not asking and not have no one talk to me for a day or two and all would go back to respect for about a month, then it would start all over again(vicious cycle) ;D

Back in school I really don't remember having this problem, the teacher made it clear tho ;)

It was only in the real world. So you will get upset about it-but, some get mad.

I Think the teacher needs to step in and run it correctly ;)

Tipp, I get onto the selfy pity pot myself, it is when i am doing my worst, it happens to everyone, YOU JUST CAN"T STAY ON IT 24/7, , change only comes when you refuse to volunteer for failure and drama. The drama you find yourself in all the time IS JUST A DISTRACTION I GET TRAPPED THERE MYSELF The reality of it is You are a capable young man, your situation is hard NOT IMPOSSIBLE and if I were you I would seek help locally from a counsleor or find a mentor. Youmight get some suggestions on these forums that help but if you do what I suggest you may just find what you need. Please think about this.

You have to address people when they do things like that to you. Don't bottle it up or just let it go. Tell them how you feel, not in a confertational way. They might not know any better seeing how some people are raised these days. I personally think you should make it between them and you and leave the teacher out if it. Life is to short to be getting pushed around and having to fester over what you should do. Best of luck.

Sure you can be mad but you need to deal with this directly if your school won't.  I used to work on printing presses and somebody kept getting into my tool chest almost daily. They would pick the lock and help themselves.  Eventhough they would return the tools, I was still mad.  So I lined my drawer handles with grease and ink.  Problem solved.  The guy was easy to find and even easier to put in place.

dont the other dudes have their own tools?  or is that not a requirement? if it isnt required to have your own tool set there, i would take mine home and use the teachers.....your problem will be solved and you will save wear and tear on your tools untill you get to the point where it IS required to have your own set

I have had some hard times this Summer. My wife was was injured by my 2 year old daughter.Gracie poked her right in the eye tearing her cornea. She was in pain and could not see well for 10 days.I had to make up for her down time.Keeping up with 3 kids is tough by yourself.I tore the lower unit out of my boat, insurance is got me covered though,I have missed a month of fishing. Then when my wife gets better she goes to visit her sister with the kids,so I go hang out with the guys for a night and end up getting jumped on by a couple of drunks and receive some bruised ribs which I am still suffering from.

Am I mad?Nope,I am still thankful that I have a healthy family, freedom, and a roof over my head. When I feel like I want to pout,I think of our soliders overseas, kids in 3rd world countries, parents who lose their children due to illness or accidents.Though we may have hard times, they live hard lives.

Alot of Americans these days have become "cry babies" because they are spoiled from birth.

RW's advice is good, however, I have to respectfully disagree with you on the fight.  I'll bet you one thing:  if people are stealing his tools, and he pops them one, I'll bet they won't bother his tools again!

rw is right you must get that reported asap and DEMAND it be taken care of. personally i'd tell the princeipal if he doesn't address the problem and have those responsiable take care of the broken tool box he will have another problem on his hands. tell him or her that not a problem that is needed because you are there for an education but you wont stand for this kind of thing.

take it from rw thgough his solution is best.

besides i was that freashmen who stuffed the sr's in the trash cans so mine may not be best unl;ess a last resort.  ;) ;D ;D ;D

You , sir, are wrong.  One cop for wo counties?  Please.  Perhaps you live in a small TOWNSHIP but to say you have one cop for two counties is absurd.

You sir, are bloviating.

You obviously live in a dream world, or you've gotten your tail whipped pretty good a number of times and the small town with gangs thing is your excuse for why it happened. There is absolutely no way you have 1 cop for 2 counties

This may be takin it over the top....but it bugs me when people lie to make people feel bad for them or to make a situation seem different than it is.

This site will prove that Captains claim of his county sharing 1 cop with another is not true.....http://www.co.juniata.pa.us/
