George Welcome Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 Surgery went well and I got home this afternoon. Xrays show like a roadmap of wires. One handed for a while, with no way to fish. Phooey!!!!! > :( :'( Quote
Shad_Master Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 Welcome to the itchy stich club - glad things went well -- sorry about your being out of commission. Might be a good time to clean out the old tackle box and start getting things "organized". That's what I do when I can't fish. Quote
Super User .ghoti. Posted September 6, 2007 Super User Posted September 6, 2007 Glad to hear all went well. Now's a good time to catch up on your reading. I was out of the game myself recently, so I know, at least in some small way, what you're going through. I didn't have major surgery, just angioplasty and a stent. They made me do nothing for about three weeks. Pay attention to the doc's directions. They seem to know what they're doing. Remember; NO HOUSEWORK. That includes windows. Cheers, GK Quote
justfishin Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 Thats good news Mr. Welcome. I am glad you are home and things went well. Now listen to the doc's and relax for awhile. Quote
Super User Jimzee Posted September 7, 2007 Super User Posted September 7, 2007 Very happy to see everything went well George. One handed typing is tough. Sit back and just get better before the fall bite really kicks in. Quote
skillet Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 Really glad there were no "surprises" and you're home healing :)George! As Ever, skillet BTW Jimzee79 "One handed typing is tough" I do it with one finger all the time ;D Quote
Top Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 here is to a speedy recovery GW... I sincerely hope you can get out on that water VERY soon AL Quote
Super User Sam Posted September 7, 2007 Super User Posted September 7, 2007 I am so glad you are home and doing well. Hospitals scare me and I hate any type of procedure or surgery at a hospital. So what to do while you are out of commission? Nothing. Absolutly nothing. Nada. Zero. Take it easy so we can continue to enjoy your posts into the future. I am going redfish fishing in Louisiana in October so I will catch a few for you. Quote
George Welcome Posted September 7, 2007 Author Posted September 7, 2007 Sam, I would join you redfishing, except I think they might pull me into the water. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted September 7, 2007 Super User Posted September 7, 2007 Good to hear from you. Get well soon. -Kent Quote
JCrzy4Bass Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 Hey George, Glad everything went well. My fiancee just had an extensive surgery for her sleep apnea and I was out of the game for a couple of weeks caring for her. You need to lay back and enjoy the comfort of having others wait on you hand and foot. From what I hear... its FUN lol. Anyway, take your time with your recovery, that way when you get out you start to see the fall colors and the shallow fish!!! Woo Hoo. Glad to see your doin' alright boss. Quote
Travlin_Man Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 George, Glad all went well. I know it's hard for someone that's used to being active to lay low for more than a day or two. I think that all the pumps on the Marsh/Farm should stay off until you can get back out to wet a line. Glad you are on the mend. Don Quote
Guest avid Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 Glad everything went well George. God speed for a quick recovery. avid. Quote
