Siebert Outdoors Posted September 7, 2007 Author Posted September 7, 2007 Colts dominate: Indianapolis 42 Saints 17 Pretty close. I guess I gave the Saint's offense too much credit. : so true. Quote
ejtaylor822 Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 Oh, how I love Football. Game started like it was going to close. They both looked rusty on offense but the colts really looked somewhat unorganized - only word I can think of - right before the half. Really thought the saints could pull that one out. Dungy must have flew into them in the locker because IMHO, they did not look like the same team second half - much sharper and cripser on offense. Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted September 7, 2007 Super User Posted September 7, 2007 Anyone ever stop and think of what kind of cover corner the Saints bought when they went after David on the free agency market from the Colts? Big difference in going one on one than playing cover two, I guess the Saints found out the hard way last night. Lets see!!!! Colts run cover 2 90% of the time. Why would anyone think he was gonna fit in the Saints defensive scheme? I wished I would have mentioned that before the game, I told college buddy that Peyton was gonna torch him personally for a couple of scores and he got torched for 3. For you gamblers out there, heres the numbers, defending SBC's have won 36 opening day games. Since the NFL now allows the SBC to start/open the season, they were 4-0 until last night, that would be 5-0 now. Don't go against the odds. Also, Peyton and his crew are attempting to set another record, the only team to win at least 12 games in a season for 5 straight years, currently, Dallas and Indy are the only teams to ever win 12 games a season for 4 years straight. So that would be a 75% winning record. Next time you pick against the Colts, just remember they win 3 out of every 4 games over the last 4 seasons. Pretty impressive numbers. matt Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted September 7, 2007 Author Posted September 7, 2007 Yeah what were they thinking of going against the Colts. Thats as bad as going with a pflueger instead of a shimano Quote
Troutfisher Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 I predict the Colts winning by a big margin. I'll go with 38-14. Saints can't hold up to the reigning Super Bowl Champs. The Colts have been in the playoffs the past few years and consistently have a good team. All this, and I'm not even a Colts fan, I'm a Steelers fan, so no bias. Darn...I was only a few points off! Super User burleytog Posted September 8, 2007 Super User Posted September 8, 2007 And the oldest son got injured playing for Ole Miss so you do not hear about him. Cooper never played for Ole Miss. He was diagnosed with spinal stenosis. Quote
