JCrzy4Bass Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 So my fiancee and I are excited as all get out that the season kicks off tonight. While neither of the teams playing are our favorites it's gonna be a great way to bring in the season. She's swinging by Safeway on the way home to pick up some Mikes, Smirnoff, Wine Coolers, and Beer, and we are cooking some money pasta. Gonna be watching Manning get his butt handed to him hopefully. I'll be pulling for Brees to just have a shoot out against that Colts secondary with two new cornerbacks in the picture. Colston is gonna have an awesome game and hopefully Bush will create some magic. On another note, I'm torn in my fantasy. I can either start Julius Jones as my number 2 Rb against the NYG defense on Sunday, or Duece Mccalister tonight against Indy's D. While Indy was ranked last in the run last year they looked strong at the end of the season and pretty strong throughout the playoffs. I know they lost one of the DL to an injury (Mcfarland I think?), but I don't know what to make of their DL as of now. I can start Jones against the Giants D, but with Strahan coming off the holdout and the Giants decent DL I'm not sure. I know Jones was getting a majority of the snaps in the red zone in preseason which tells me that Marion probably won't be so much of a split back, but rather a situational and 3rd down back to add more power to the running game. Equals more carries and attempts for Jones??? All the sources I've read said to put him above barber in your lineup and that he will pick up the points. Parcells normally likes to stick to that one rb role and not go with trends that the nfl has created with this 2 back type running deal most teams in the league have now implemented. One thing is for sure, I will be starting Shaun Alexander against that Tampa Bay D for my number 1 this week. Wish me luck. Hope everyone enjoys the game tonight! Go Saints!!! I would love to see Indy get their butt handed to em' at home after a super bowl win. Ps: I'm not a bitter Denver Broncos fan at all. After Plummer blew two back to back playoff appearances against those guys and I mean BLEW... I kinda have a hatred to the almighty Colts. Quote
