Guest avid Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 Avid, want see people giving it their all? Watch Alabama vs Auburn. I have, and it was back in the days of "The Bear" "Sure I'd like to beat Notre Dame, don't get me wrong. But nothing matters more than beating that cow college on the other side of the state." To a group of boosters before an Auburn game. This comment was widely reported, and AU upset the Tide a few days later
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 People like Vick should learn that playing in the NFL is a priveledge and not a right A right????????????????? I don't know about you but when I spend a couple of hundred bucks to see a pro football game, I don't want see 22 guys with high moral standards. I don't give a ratz azz about their "personal integrity" I want to see the 22 guys who were able to overcome all the monumental obstacles to EARN that spot. I want to see the best, and I want them to give it their all. If I want morality on a Sunday afternoon there's more than enough preachers I can tune in to. If I remember correctly, these athletes are supposed to be role models also,...no? If I had kids, the last thing I would want them to see is their dad applauding the efforts of a moral-less criminal. Some things are BIGGER than the game.... Anyone want Hitler to babysit? He's always on time and never has friends over. :

Super User 5bass Posted September 2, 2007 Super User Posted September 2, 2007 Vick is a dirt bag thug who hangs out with his dirt bag thug friends. He shoud've made better decisions in his life. Obviously he thought he was above the law and had plenty of money to buy his way out should he ever get in trouble.......but then all of his homies "rolled" on him and he's suddenly found himself up "that" creek without a paddle. Enjoy prison loser! And the one big surprise in the whole Mike Vick dog fighting scandal is that his brothers name wasnt mentioned at all. Thats a shocker.
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted September 2, 2007 BassResource.com Administrator Posted September 2, 2007 Well folks, I gotta close this thread. Seems a few folks have taken offense to a few things said and done on this thread, and now I'm getting complaints. I was afraid this was going to happen. An emotional topic like this is bound to hit the nerves of a few people. Sorry.
