A back pack to carry the stuff, stowaway plano boxes and a multipiece rod in a nice tube case ;). Japanese rod manufacturers have lots of options for multipiece rods and many of them aren 't THAT expensive or THAT hard to get, for ex the Major Craft Slicer ( around 100-110 ) is a great rod, most of them come in tube case.

Thanks Raul..I'll look into that and see what I come up with..I did think of  back pack but changed my mind on that.I really don't need to take that much gear when I fish.I learned last year less is better when your walking the lake.

It doesn 't have to be a monster backpack, when I look at what I take when I go on foot patrol ( a small backpack with a 3600 size stowaway, some packs of worms and some spinnerbaits ) compared to what I take when I go on the boat I always wonder why do I carry all that stuff.  :-?

Where is "Down my way" at?   I tried riding a bicycle once, then I realized my car was quicker and I did not sweat as much.

Butt pack for the baits. They make rod holders commercially fo boats. you might be able to put a big radiator clamp on the back forks, if so you could take your good 1pc rod. you could also make one out of 2 inch plastic pipe. The ones already made are about 12 bucks at Cabelas or BPS.
