bassnleo Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 Squids post "I'm not happy" kind of spurred my to post this. This is a true story, I witnessed it..... I'm sitting at a red light one day and beside a red pick-up truck which is to my right. I notice that just to my left a blind man is standing on the curb with his seeing eye dog waiting to cross the street. This intersection had walk / don't walk pedestrian signals. The signal for the blind man is "Walk" but obviously he cannot see it. Our light turns to green and the dog starts to walk leading the blind man across the street and in our path. They now have a "Don't Walk" signal. I remain stopped as does the guy in the pick-up. When the dog and blind man reach the pick-up, the driver leans out the window and says "Hey you dummy, can't you see it says DON'T WALK?" The blind man becomes furious and replies "YOU dummy can't you see I'm blind?" The pick-up driver fires right back "HEY, I wasn't talking to you, I was talking to your dog." The blind man whacks the pick-up's grill with a sideswipe of his cane, then continues on his way.....the pick-up also drives away. I tried soooo hard not to laugh.......Not at the blind man, but that I witnessed the whole thing, SOME PEOPLE Quote
Super User Raul Posted August 29, 2007 Super User Posted August 29, 2007 Let 's look at it from another perspective, the man in the truck is to a certain point correct in his assumption ..... where he blows it is that dogs don 't read too good ! : Quote
Fisher of Men Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 Man that's too funny. ;D I can't help but think about the old joke about the man who sold the mule who "didn't look too good". Quote
