It was the Germans and it happened about 6 months ago. Way to utilize your memory and love for things past. Quote
Bladesmith, Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 This is the first I've heard of this. I grew up in the same area as Jimmy Houston. I didn't think much of him then. Now, I think even less. Quote

llPa1nll Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 Go to this web site & find out for yourself www.real-hunters.com/full.swf Wow, I wasnt aware of this. I think that in fact is a weak argument fof hunting, why not just put them on a leash and shot them. It takes the sport out of it in my opinion. Good post even if it is old news... Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted August 21, 2007 Super User Posted August 21, 2007 Jimmy's hunt is mild compared to what Gentry did. Gentry, the other half of Montgomery Gentry country duo. Gentry bought a tame bear in Colorado and shipped it to Minnesoata and then filmed a bow hunt for the bear in a pen. A tame bear named Cubbie. That one has been posted also. As for Jimmy, he testified against the guy in court for the operation that was going on. Jimmy said, you could not see four sides of the fence, and from where he was placed, there was no way you could tell that this pasture was small and unfair chase. Alls I know is, these guys are rich and still in business to make more money and what we say or type has done nothing to hurt these guys lively hood for their un-ethical approaches to the outdoors. BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted August 21, 2007 BassResource.com Administrator Posted August 21, 2007 The problem with this story STILL circulating the Internet is that everyone seems to leave out all of his apologies and actions afterward (such as getting the owner convicted in court). This is why I hate rumors and "smack talk" about pros and celebrities. They're only part of the truth, and not the whole story. So let's focus on the positive results he achieved, as well as other positive aspects/individuals of the sport. Quote
Ky_Lake_Dude Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 Yeah Glenn in all seriousness I 100% agree with you. Quote
