Super User cart7t Posted August 12, 2007 Super User Posted August 12, 2007 Muddy gay? Feminine? Yeah, right. ;D The Brooklyn Horn dog! Don't take off muddy, I'm sure there's ways to silence that lamb via the internet. Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted August 12, 2007 Super User Posted August 12, 2007 Good!!!!..................Fine!!!!...................Go then!!!!!! :-[ > I didn't like you anyway. By the way Dom. Yesterday I watched a brand new bass boat going up and down the lake with his bow pointed to the sky. He did this for about 30 or 40 minutes. I couldn't help but think of you two Mooks at Fork and laugh. Then I grabbed my video camera and got some footage. It was funny. Quote
Super User Catt Posted August 12, 2007 Super User Posted August 12, 2007 I'm a Cajun so I aint that politically correct or tactful > Muddy I say stand your ground; don't let someone who doesn't know you come between you & your friends. Yea this is Glenn's web site but it also belongs to us; without us there is no web site. This is also a public web site so if he has a problem with you he should say it publicly if not shut up. Leaving the site is giving into his stupidity Quote
skillet Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 You will be missed by a great many folks !!! Hope to hear from you soon!!! As Ever, skillet Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 Mod note- Muddy replied in a new thread. In order to keep the board neat, I felt it should be added to this one, this is his reply. Muddy Man: Hey Fellas: I am grateful for the friends found here. I do not do well with a lot of people, I never have. First it was Dodgeguy, we started talking about fishing equipment then I was flooded with all this right wing political stuff. I am a liberal voting democrat, and thats all he needed to know, then the underlying crap started. Much to his credit I explained I ain't into the political stuff and he stopped. Then That Craig Bauigher guy, he was basically not that truthful, but in the end I couldn't point it out because he creid and cried til they deleted the challenge for him to prove it I went along with the game plan for the tradeoff of peace on the boards I have a lot of trouble with certain people, it was pointed uot that by going on this sit e AND IT IS A TRUELY WONDERFUL site that it is the same as inviting these folks into your livining room. Now I have Burley, at least he answered my PM. Last spring he posted a number of things on the board about me having pretty lips, etc etc falling just shy of calling me gay, I didn't know what to do with that. When 2 other fellas ,asked me what was up with that it freaked me out I kind of ignored him Lately I feel( Everything I feel does not turn out to be real) that he piggy backs on m and Its like I have no idea what I am talking about. I PM'D him asking about these situations Basic answer< my personality grates on him sometimes. I understand that but he went on to say I am a drama queen and I have a thin skin. I can dish it not take it. I have had more fellas poke fun at me here, but I know these guys and they do not do it in a mean spirited way, and I have a friendship with them that goes both ways. I do not trust nor fell any friendship with Mr Burely and he has pushed the envelope to the point where i will not accept some one coming at me the way he does. PERIOD, NO FEMININITY OR DRAMA WITH THAT back off and respect me and I will do the same I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS CRAP This being said, I am taking a break after the tshirts are shipped on Wed and I get PM's that they were received, that is my responsibility to you fellas. I have too much trouble with some on the internet behavior, and if I am on it I invite it, nothing to do with that. I certainly wouldnt hang out with people I have no respect for but wind up in these situations, SO THIS IS MY PROBLEM NOT A PROBLEM WITH THE SITE I certainly do not have a thn skin, but I refuse to let people i do not care for have carte blanche with me AINT HAPPENING. But if I am here thats what happens I am going to Shea with my kid, 2 days with Elaine and when I get back to PA ill post whats going on.THIS IS THE INTERNET< NOT LIFE>>>>>I need to listen to that (fromAVID) Thankls Muddy Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 This is an easy one, no need to keep dragging this on. Muddy, take a break, see a ball game with your girl and catch some hogs with Zel and the boys, We will be awaiting your return. Burly- I'm sure you did not mean to drive Muddy away but I think it is explained rather well what is required of your dealings with him in the future to be bump free and non offensive. Pushing buttons will lead to banning, now that the issue has been brought to public attention. Don't get me wrong, I have no issues with you as a member,...at all, it just appears that 2 personalities have not melded and out of 10,000 guys, that ain't bad. Please respect this situation WHEN Muddy comes back, and we won't have an issue. The # 1 rule at BR is respect. For nature, for the industry and above all for each other. We all good boys? Quote
Super User Root beer Posted August 12, 2007 Super User Posted August 12, 2007 Hey, since your taking a break from bassresource, maybe you can get off your lazy brooklyn arse and learn to catch a fish using a jig. Seriously take a terminator jig put a zoom super hog on it and pitch it close as possible to a tree or some type of wooden cover in the lake and hold on. . Enjoy your break and look foward to your return. Quote
Super User flechero Posted August 12, 2007 Super User Posted August 12, 2007 i will not accept some one coming at me the way he does. Muddy, I think he was coming ON to you... in a twisted, rural Virginia, "Deliverance" sort of way. Just turn him down like every other guy and girl has done and forget about it. Quote

Needemp Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Craig Bauigher guy, he was basically not that truthful, but in the end I couldn't point it out because he creid and cried til they deleted the challenge for him to prove it I went along with the game plan for the tradeoff of peace on the boards... What ever happened to that guy? I remember he claimed he was trained by two pros and his wife made him quit. He claimed he would have been great and that he makes his company millions of dollars. If I remember right, someone called him out and that is the last time I remember him. Does anybody know what happened to him? Quote
Troutfisher Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Probably sitting on some street corner singing the blues with a sign that says "Spare change please." Or, maybe he's now giving his advice like Lucy does off of Charlie Brown: For 5 cents, the psychiatrist is in! ;D Quote

Panamoka_Bassin Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Muddy, I am gonna miss you while you're gone. Thick skinned, thin skinned, no skinned, doesn't matter. If someone disrespects you, then you have to do what makes it right for you. I don't agree with you having to take a break, but that's me, not you, and the decision is yours alone. Stay in touch, and if you're ever hanging around Brooklyn and want to do some lLong Island fishing, gimme a shout. You will always be welcome. Peace Quote

Super User Matt Fly Posted August 13, 2007 Super User Posted August 13, 2007 Muddy, Do what you need to do, but your real friends know you for who you are and thats all that counts. Forums are about opinions, and we certainly have some. Take a vacation Dom, we'll be here when you get home waiting for you to post again. Hookem Matt Quote
Zel Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Man I take a few days off from BR and all heck breaks loose. Muddy, hope you recharge your batteries and get back on here soon. Many of your posts bring a much needed smile and chuckle on those tough days. I guess my only advice is that you've sometimes got to take the good with the bad. As with so much in life, too often we tend to discount all the good times, and focus on the few negative experiences. If not for this forum, we would never have gotten the chance to fish together. I really enjoyed our evening trip to Mauch Chunk. Truth be told, it's not often I find someone I like fishing with. Usually a partner's fishing style and personality make it more of a chore than a fun experience. The hours flew by, and more than anything, I'd call the trip a blast from the past. With all the new hot lures, I've gotten away from the pure pleasure of catching them on topwater with those old time lures (it's been decades since I've seen a Jitterstick). Over the weekend, I went through the deepest darkest bowels of my fishing tackle and got together some of my old topwater lures for our next trip Jitterbugs, Torpedos, Crazy Crawlers, Dalton Specials, Zara Spooks and one of my old favorites the Bass Oreno (If it ain't fifty, it ain't nifty!). I'm looking forward to our next evening outing and enjoying those topwater explosions on lures made during a time when things were much less complicated. Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted August 13, 2007 Super User Posted August 13, 2007 Zel, that makes two of us.... See, this is what happens when you only have access to your computer at work during the week. Muddy, fuhgetaboutit Quote
Super User flechero Posted August 13, 2007 Super User Posted August 13, 2007 Keith, lets not throw that blanket over everyone in Virginia..... I just used "rural Virginia" for descriptive purposes only. I live in a "rural" area so I don't use the term loosely. ...lol Quote
squid Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 I am also with Zel, I have only come on to post jokes and find this brewing...Don't be gone long....cause now I will have you and Ed to miss.... :-/ > > Quote
bassboy1 Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 To be honest, I do know how you feel to a point. I have always been somewhat eccentric, and therefore class loser, up until recently when I had a major growth spurt and now tower over everybody by about 4 inches. Sometimes the best thing to do is to take a break from it for a while, but come back soon. I will miss your jokes, and even advise from the fishing sections. Don't ever forget where your home is, and come back soon. Quote

Super User Alpster Posted August 14, 2007 Super User Posted August 14, 2007 Man I take a few days off from BR and all heck breaks loose. Me too! Man, you just can't take a vacation around here. LOL I guess I am going to have to send out a couple of "Jersey Boys" to take care of this 'situation'. 8-) Seriously, Dominick, you can't let stuff get under your skin. Not everyone is as good at poking fun as you are. You are a fixture around here and it won't be the same without you. Give me a call when you can. I need to talk to you anyway. Ronnie Quote

Hey, Muddy Man, don't forget your favorite conservative or so I wish. Believe me when I say, I understand where you are coming from. I read and keep up mostly but after destroying my first id I was not going to be posting like I did before anyway so I am not concerned with my number of posts. You, Avid, and I joined around the same time so if you ever need an ear you have it. You and I hold a lot of opposite views but what many people today fail to understand is how to respect another person for having strong reasoned beliefs that are heartfelt though they may be opposite they are worthy of respect when they are heartfelt and reasoned held by someone willing to allow another to hold just as equally strong beliefs if they come by them in a like manner and are not over bearing or unwilling to consider others views. To others here the difference between many with liberal views for whom I have little respect and someone like Muddy_Man is that I know while Muddy in the end may choose not to agree with a position I put forth I know he will hear me out and consider my words before making a decision just as I would hear him out and carefully consider his point of view before making a decision. Because I respect the man, I would not dismiss his position on a subject because his political outlook is generally a polar opposite to mine. I am in some things liberal, some moderate, and some extremely conservative but if I listen to only those views that I know agree with mine then I deny myself a wealth of knowledge and insight. I know Muddy_Man holds his views as dear and as close to his heart as I do and for that I offer my respect and honor Dominick! So do not let someone steal your joy Dominick. We can only do our best and let God take care of the rest. Take care my fiend and I will remember you in my prayers. Quote
