But you are "part of the family" and it is my hope that your "moving on" is more accurate than not feeling appreciated. It was pretty clear that you dedication to your comedy was overtaking your love of bass fishing. That is totally cool with me. It's important to pursue one's dreams. Your dream of making a successful living by making others laugh is quite noble. The site is always here. Some ole codgers like me and others who appreciated your humorous spirit will be around as long as BassResource.com will have us. I hope your achieve your goal. Your good people and deserve the best. edbassmaster Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 Guys, I just saw this for the first time and I really appreciate your opinions...and Long Mike thanks for keeping your opinion of me to yourself since I dont even know you, nor have I ever exchanged words with you. The reason I left is simple, I got word from an annonymous email that people thought I was on BR just to "promote myself". That bothered me, so I left without word, I didnt want to stir the fish tank. I have passions in life that are as follow...God, Family, Fishing. I am trying to help my family in our financial struggles and that is why I was going full speed ahead with comedy, so I can make a career out of it. At the end of the day, I am Ed...a fisherman. I have been since I was 5 years old and I always will be. My dream in life is to be with my family, and fish...and someday comedy will allow me to live that dream. Thanks guys. Ed Quote

Although I have never met the man face to face, I have learned to like and respect him. I sincerely believe that the feeling is mutual. We both have a lot in common, not the least of which is hurling the occasional good-natured insult at each other. You may be surprised to know that Muddy, Avid and I have a secret fishing trip planned sometime in the not real near future. We will be fishing on an electric-only lake and will each be fishing out of our own boats. What a perfect scenario! Spending a day on the lake with Muddy and Avid and not speaking a word to either of them - My idea of heaven. Sorry, didn't mean to hi-jack the thread, but couldn't resist. Quote
