Super User Sam Posted June 30, 2007 Super User Posted June 30, 2007 No body put down Tulane as their favorite team. I wonder why? Quote
Guest hibachi Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 Roll Tide Roll. University of Alabama football is the best. Sorry guys, you all know this. You aren't going to be out-coaching us this year. Give UA 2-3 years, we'll be SEC champs again guaranteed. I know Nick Saban isn't a miracle worker, and UA still has a lot of the same players from last year. The difference is the players are going to be playing with a new level of discipline and intensity. We'll be National Champs again in 3-5 years, when Saban is able to get a team full of his recruits. Not only do we have the best coaching staff, we also have the best recruiting staff. And it doesn't hurt that we have the most famous and well respected high school coach in the nation in our back pocket. So keep talking crap about the last 10 years while you can. I think we all know Bama is back. I'm pretty sure the entire SEC winced when they heard that the sleeping powerhouse in Tuscaloosa woke up. I think all you Bama haters are funny. You know there's a big Crimson cloud right in the middle of the Southeast. You're either with us, or you wish you were. Your worst nightmare has become a reality. Alabama has a real coach again. Go ahead and tell me how you've been beating Bama for the past 10 years. That's fine. Right now, Florida is the only team that has any bragging rights at all. Nobody's going to look back at 2006 and remember that Tennessee beat Alabama. That's the difference with Bama and your teams. When Bama beats you, we don't care, we expect it. We demand it. And if our coach isn't living up to our expectations we'll get a coach that does. You see, in the eyes of Alabama fans, we belong at the top. We don't settle for mediocrity. It's not okay for us to just get to the SEC championship once every 5 years. We want to dominate you. I highly suggest the rest of you jump on the bandwagon now while you can. If not, the next 20 years are going to be hard dealing for you. Quote
Super User Catt Posted June 30, 2007 Super User Posted June 30, 2007 Dream on Tide Dream on : Y'all be lucky if Saban is there in 5 years Two words for Bama "Matt Flynn" Quote
Super User Root beer Posted June 30, 2007 Super User Posted June 30, 2007 Matt Flnyt? Ah phoooey, just because he had one good ball game doesnt mean he'll going to have a helluva season. Remember this LSU, all your wins from past 2-3 years were all with sabans recruit. . Not les miles. Quote
Troutfisher Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 http://www.timeswv.com/sportscentral/local_story_171011146.html #2 team in the country... WVU Mountaineers!!! http://www.post-gazette.com/images4/20060915pd_westvirginia0914c_450.jpg Quote

Fanuzzi? Oh yea & a coach who's only concern is $,$$$,$$$ Keep Dreaming Quote
Super User Sam Posted July 1, 2007 Super User Posted July 1, 2007 I think Satan will be gone in 5 years. I think Tubby rules Alabama. I think Dumbo Fisher was Satan's savior and now that Dumbo is at Florida State Satan no longer has a good QB coach and offensive coordinator. Satan is a defense guy. He knows defenses. Satan is a difficult person to get along with. You have to have tough skin to coach with Satan. Yes, in 5 years he will be back in the Big 10. As for Bama, Auburn players do not have enough fingers to keep putting those Iron Bowl rings on after each victory. I wonder if you can get a ring for your toes????? Quote
Super User Root beer Posted July 1, 2007 Super User Posted July 1, 2007 Last year Alabama nearly beat LSU with wilson. Wilson had one of his best games against LSU on the road. So I'm sure this year with another year of experience he'll explode again. Even all the analyst said LSU/Alabama game was wilson best of the season. However, his two fumbles in side the 10 yard line screwed it up. >. ANd a missed field goal > Quote
Super User Catt Posted July 1, 2007 Super User Posted July 1, 2007 Excuse me but in every close game Mr. Saban took over the offensive play calling, Jimbo Fisher is a good offensive coordinator just not a great one. Close only counts in horse shoes & hand grenades Quote
Big T Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 I agree Carolina will be a hard case, I mean we are the second winingest basketball team in history, only to Kentucky who by the way is my second favorite baketball team. The ACC has stepped up it competion with the arrivals of Miami, VA Tech and Boston College. Just look at who won the conference last year, Wake Forrest, who had their best season in school history. RiskKid. Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 Hmmmmmmm........Bama fans is puttin an awful lot of pressure on Nick......I expect they will play better but this conference is better all around than in the old Bear Bryant days. Not only does he have to contend with Auburn, LSU, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee but Spurrier has South Carolina playing a whole lot better, Arkansas will be dangerous and even Vandy and Kentucky are much better than they used to be. Mighty tough to rule this conference year in and out! Thats why its so much fun.......GO VOLS!!!! Quote
Cajun1977 Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 as far as im concerned if you aint rooting for LSU your just rooting for second place or worse Quote
Super User Catt Posted July 2, 2007 Super User Posted July 2, 2007 Root for the team you love, on any given Saturday any one can win or lose, as long as it's a good game I don't care who's playing. Quote
Cajun1977 Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 thanks for the advise but ill always care who plays theres just some teams i wont ever watch Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted July 2, 2007 Super User Posted July 2, 2007 Les Miles' recruits at OSU had OU's number 2 of the last 3 years he was there. Knocked OU out of the Big XII title game twice. Something no one has been able to do since Stoops arrival. Not even my Longhorns. One thing for sure about the SEC, theres no shortage of coaches, there are some of the nations best coaching staffs. Lots of big names in that conference. Hookem Matt Quote
Super User Catt Posted July 2, 2007 Super User Posted July 2, 2007 Dang Matt I just realized we spent 8 hours fishing & not once did we talk football I like watching 1-A or 1-AA as long as it's not one sided; one of the best games of last year was Boise State vs. Oklahoma Quote
RiskKid. Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 one of the best games of last year was Boise State vs. Oklahoma Catt.........I must respectfully disagree.....that was THE best game of the year!!! Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted July 2, 2007 Super User Posted July 2, 2007 I'd have to say the OU/Boise State game was one of the best exciting games played. And considering who they beat, it was one for the ages. Hookem Matt. Quote
Super User Chris at Tech Posted July 2, 2007 Super User Posted July 2, 2007 Georgia Tech... We have a QB this year Quote
Super User Root beer Posted July 2, 2007 Super User Posted July 2, 2007 Maybe I care about my bama boys more then anything. I'm be honest with you I try to watch a lot of other games like USC vs Notre dame, boise state vs OU, Florida vs Tennessee, and some various rival and big games. Thing is I cant sit there and pay attention to game, then maybe after half time I might stop watching it, or I might just flip back and forth to that game and whatever eles is on. However, if Alabama is playing I'm 100% focus. If my phone ring I turn it off and throw it across house. I Just sit tehre stare 100% focus watching every players on every down. Maybe I'm too hardcore Alabama fan? Quote
Super User Catt Posted July 2, 2007 Super User Posted July 2, 2007 To hardcore Dude look around I know Matt Fly, Chris at Tech, riskkid, Cajun1977 are all hardcore > I've raised 4 boys all football players Quote
Cajun1977 Posted July 3, 2007 Posted July 3, 2007 man if god asked me to quit fishing forever and he would give the saints the superbowl id never fish again. but when it comes to my LSU TIGERS i expect to win, and nothin else will sufice. Quote
