Imagine an expo center full of fishing gears that never came out yet. Basically it a show where they display and show samples of what to be release from the company soon.

Professional anglers are there, magazine guys are there doing cover, and hundreds of big and small company alike are there trying show off new products and increase sales.

I couldn't get past that first sentence.  My wife would never let me go alone - that is just plain TROUBLE.  Assume all bait monkeys have to be on a leash?

Where is ICAST and does it move around year to year?

I may be wrong, but I was under the impression that you can't buy most of stuff there?

It is not a buying situation.  It is a show where companies launch the next yrs product for press releases and first looks for buyers and others in the industry.  No sales going on.

It does move.  Next year it is in Florida.

It's a trade show for the fishing industry.  It is for companies, wholesalers/retailers, and the media. It is not a sports show, and not open to the general public.

I asked the question because many people who are sponsored by these companies are there tending the booths and talking to the press/retailers.  And there are several members here who may be going to do just that.

This year it is in Vegas.  Next year I understand it will be in Florida, I believe.

That kind of reminds me when I used to go to clubs when I was underage.  I would arrive early and wait for the van with the band to pull up.  Then just go over, and ask the drummer if he needed any help.  Drummers always need help, just ask Muddy.  

Anyway somebody would always tell me to grab this or that and I would get in the club saying "I'm with the band".  Devious, but effective.
