Guest avid Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 I could not access BassResource.com using mozilla. It would bring up the site and I went into a revolving door between the "enter" and the forum pages. I logged of and back on several times but no luck So I went to IE and got on. I think the 10,000 mark offended the bass gods. Quote
Deb Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 I had problems yesterday. Kept getting a "server error". Have had no problems today, except it's been much quicker than usual Oh Avid, question...How long did it take you to find that lost treasure??? Just wondering how long I need to plan on playing those numbers? Of course, when I (we) win, I'll have to deduct the amount I've spent for tickets, plus interest, plus of course the handling charges. That should leave you with enough to send me a thank you note! ;D ;D Hope you're doing good and at least thinking bout catching bass 8-) 8-) deb Quote
Fish Man Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 I had problems yesterday. Kept getting a "server error". Have had no problems today, except it's been much quicker than usual exactly the same, after about 11-12 in the night o clock it was fine tho Quote
Guest the_muddy_man Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 I also kept going form forum to enter to forum to enter, then a few hours of server error :-/ Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted July 1, 2007 BassResource.com Administrator Posted July 1, 2007 Okay, okay.... Issue #1 - Last night The server crashed.... HARD! It died. Kaput. Bye-bye. The techs couldn't revive it. So it took them a few hours to "fix" the problem (I'm guessing they moved everything over to a brand new server). That brought the site back up. Bonus - site runs faster now. Issue #2 - "revolving door" on the front page Clear your cache on your browser and it will go away. I did some code updates today, and the legacy code that's stuck in your computer is conflicting with the new code. If you don't know how to clear your cache - go here: http://www.google.com/support/calendar/bin/answer.py?answer=37059 Quote
Guest the_muddy_man Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 I once had my cache cleared in a little house in Tijauana , but since this is a family site I can't get into the particulars Quote
Guest avid Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 Ok mudster, you beat me on this one. Next time brother, next time. Glenn, I cleared the browser cache and set it to clear automatically upon closing mozilla. all is well. avid PS - Sending you lifetime supply of Excedrin. Oh Avid, question...How long did it take you to find that lost treasure??? Just wondering how long I need to plan on playing those numbers? Of course, when I (we) win, I'll have to deduct the amount I've spent for tickets, plus interest, plus of course the handling charges. That should leave you with enough to send me a thank you note Why is if that the hot women are always so cold hearted :'( Quote
Bauerus Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 Does not work with Opera, all temp files cleared on exit always so cache is clean every log in. I can jump directly to the forums and stay in place but when I try HOME it sends me through the revolving door. Sorry to say same issue with IE latest edition and ALL temp. files removed. Any other ideas? Tnx for putting up a superb site. As I head north every year I rely on the tip, tactics and great info shared by all. Cheers from the jungles of Belize PS where is a site to stick a JPG to post on theh site since it will not allow direct uploading? I do not have a "Home page" nor intersted in setting one up. Quote
Super User Catt Posted July 8, 2007 Super User Posted July 8, 2007 For what ever reason I rarely have a problem with this site; I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact I never log off? The only problems I have is with my wonderful Sudden Link Provider > Quote
