Yes, I know the site has been unstable.  I am working with my host provider to resolve the issue.

That said, I'm fed up with the hosting issues, including the slowness issue, and am in the process of setting up with a new host provider.  I hope to have the issues solved once and for all soon.  In the mean time, it's going to be bumpy, so bear with me for the week or two.

I thank you for your patience and understanding.

Tried "clearing the cache" last night and it worked, then AOL (I know, I know I'm one of those folks that thinks a Claymore Mine would straighten things out too) kicked me off >:(and then it started doing the merry go round thing again.

You're STUCK with me :'(! It would take more than the slowness issue and a few mistakes to get rid of me ;D...

Glad to see that you are making progress Glenn, but it is obvious that your real means of making a living is getting in the way of your attempts to properly maintain this site.  I suggest that you reduce the number of your daily hours of sleep from four to two. ;D ;D ;D

BS aside Glenn.  You are doing a remarkable job under very difficult circumstances.  Many folks don't realize that all the work you do to keep this site great up and running is done after you get home from work.  I not only admire you, but I admire your wife for her indulgence in your BFR obsession.

Thanks for everything you do.

Wow, that's quite the response!  Especially Mike's comments!  You guys continue to amaze me.  Thanks for the kind remarks, and thanks for hanging in there.

As for AOL - you're hitting the cache in their proxy servers.  There's not much you can do about that until it cycles out.  You can try hitting CTRL+R before the page bounces you out, but I'm not sure if that will do anything for you.

As for the server status - seems the issue is stabilizing, but the current host provider hasn't given me any updates on the status, so it may be short-lived.  That said, I have found a new host and am working on getting things set up there.  Between that and ICAST, it should take a week to two weeks - provided everything goes well.  The new server is 3x more powerful that the current server, so we should be set!

Glen,

Thanks for your efforts to improve the site.

I believe an annual fund drive would produce some good income to help offset the costs.  Please consider it for either later this year or early 2008.

I hope you will post ***'s ICAST report web address as *** has an outstanding recap of the event and the new items that are being introduced.

Have a fun trip to ICAST! :)
