KS_Bassin Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 Did some boat cleaning all the compartments, carpet and seats. Looks like a new boat ! Anyhow I have a removeable compartment under my seats and found this Daiwa Mini Cast system the reel is in good condition, the only problem is i'm missing one rod sections :-/ probably just gotta look a little harder. If anyone has any information about these i'd be interested in hearing about it. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted July 1, 2007 BassResource.com Administrator Posted July 1, 2007 Holy MOLY! Does that ever bring back memories! I had that exact rod in my teens. I took it hiking with me, and canoeing up in the Yukon. Caught a ton of trout and grayling on it over the years before I finally gave it to somebody. Fun little rod. I'm not sure it has the backbone for bass. But then again, I caught a few on it; just nothing of any size. Quote
bassboy1 Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 We have the spinning version of that. Dad used to use it back in the days when he used to run performance motorcycles through the twisty mountain roads, and about 115 mph. Nothing like a mess of bream to finish out a day of riding. The thing is just collecting dust in the closet, and the reel is worn out. Quote
frogtog Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 Is it for sale? Man I started bass fishing with those reels many years ago. That outfit dates back before Wal-Mart. Quote
