Troutfisher Posted June 23, 2007 Posted June 23, 2007 I'm going to a music camp in the eastern WV mountains tomorrow June 24 through June 30th...I sure will miss this place, and the way things are going, I too may miss out on the milestone 10,000th member. Good luck to you guys, hold the fort down, and Muddy Man, stay out of trouble. Wait, what am I saying? ;D Quote
Guest the_muddy_man Posted June 23, 2007 Posted June 23, 2007 Have fun and learn a lot but never ,never let any teacher force you to play anyway but what you feel. They can teach you technique and the essential musicology, but look for your own style and play with your own heart 8-) Quote
Bassboy15 Posted June 23, 2007 Posted June 23, 2007 Hey have fun and be sure to tell us how it went! do you sing or play an instrument? Quote
Troutfisher Posted June 23, 2007 Author Posted June 23, 2007 Thanks Muddy Man. Thanks, File Mob. Yep, I play the guitar and sing. I actually have an amatuer bluegrass band entitled "The Kidd Brothers," which is me, my brother on banjo, a man named Willard Reynolds on mandolin & vocals, and a bass player named Markel Fertig on the bass and vocals. Our website at http://kiddbrothers.tripod.com if you wanna hear a few song samples. They're a little older (last August) but they give you a sampling of what we play. Here's a few pictures from camp last year if you are interested. Can't forget the fine fishing! Quote
