Super User flechero Posted June 28, 2007 Super User Posted June 28, 2007 Anyone who hasn't seen the news, Marble Falls had 19" of rain in one day- yes NINETEEN INCHES and other towns near Austin had slightly lower totals but many over a foot. Much of central Tx is having major flooding. The nightly news down here consists of 40 minutes of high water/swift water rescues and updated weather forecasts. Thoughts and prayers go out to all affected. Wishing all of our excess to those in drought. Quote
Super User Jimzee Posted June 28, 2007 Super User Posted June 28, 2007 Here I am complaining about getting no rain in a month and you guys get in one day what we get in four months. Terrible news!!! :-[ Quote
Super User flechero Posted June 28, 2007 Author Super User Posted June 28, 2007 One of the news stories said that Marble Falls has an annual rainfall average of just under 30" and they got 19" in one 24 hr. period. Absolutely mind blowing! Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted June 28, 2007 Super User Posted June 28, 2007 South to North, stationary, and it looks like 3 more days of rain, possiblely more. Forecast may be wet on and upto the 4th. No relief in sight yet. Matt Quote
mattm Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 I hope we get some of this in August(minus the flooding of course). Quote
