I got the Rapala game for my Xbox 360 back last week, and to be honest, it sucked. I was bored within the first 15 minutes of playing it. Like paleo said, you can only use cranks. You can choose from a small assortment of different lines, rods, and reels to fish with. But it doesnt matter what gear you choose to fish, they made no difference from what I could tell. They give you a few big lakes to fish, but add boundaries for how far you can go(not far at all).

I havent played or found any good fishing games since the old school "Black Bass" from years back. I will have to check out the Bass Pro game, I have never seen it. Was it for the 360 or original Xbox?

My vote is for Mark Davis Pro Bass Fishing on the PS2. It is a very addicting game and more realistic than most others. it also has a tourney trail with many different levels of competetion that you get to unlock. the only down fall is the fish weights are a little crazy, you can catch 25 lb bass very easily if you know where to look on certain lakes  ;D ;D ;D

darn it the name slip my mind at the moment, It was cool game. Pretty hard to catch fish and stuff. But the fight was way too un-realist. I'd catch a 12inch bass it'll take over 20 minute to real in. I had a monster bass one time, dude it took me nearly 3 hours and broke my line what the (bleep)

But it was hard game to catch fish so it made it interesting. The bass pro game, I've tried demo on comptuer it looks cool, but havn't had chance to go check out full verison.

J_YOUNG you just brought back alot of old memories!  The old school black bass was a game I remember playing as a kid, If you and I are thinking of the right one. I used to play and play!

And I also agree with what you said, I havnt seen another good one since.

Thanks for the tips I got the Mark Davis game and its ok, but you can only go so far on a lake.  I do agree with J_Young about Super Black Bass.  That was a darn good game, to tell you the truth I think I still have it and an old SNES.  I might have to bring back some old school gaming. ;D

Trophy Bass and Trophy Bass 2 for the PC weren't too bad (and had somewhat realistic topography for actual lakes).

Pro Fishing Challenge for the XBox

All of these are better than the Rapala game.

I have one called Reel Fishing 3 on my PS2 it is multi spieces but still pretty good.  I had the Rapala game and I agree not much fun just using cranks all the time.

Down at my parents house they hooked up my old SNES for my kids and I still have Super Black Bass on it every time I am down there I spend more time on the SNES then the kids do ::)
