I am just curious about what all of the fathers out there received for fathers day.  I received a Quantum E760PT baitcast reel.  As well as some tools from the wife.  I think that I did very well, I hope that means that my son thinks I am a good dad.  Of course he did tell me that when he gets older he will take the reel from me and use it for himself.  Time will tell.

I got home from work this morning and sat down to eat breakfast with my family. My sons (3 and 5yrs old) ran to their bedrooms and brought me two cards that they picked out and signed themselves. Then we all went to church together. My wife made me my favorite dinner for tonight. It was all I needed for Father's Day.

I got 3 Bass Pro Shops t-shirts, 2 pairs of shorts, 2 packs of 6" senkos, 2 packs of paca craws, 2 bass pro shops poppers, a new tackle box, and we went to lunch at Red Lobster.  It's been a good day so far.  Happy Father's Day to the other dads here. :)

My 11 week old daughter took me to Cabela's to celebrate our first fathers day together.  She bought me some more soft plastics and tackle boxes, jig heads and weights.  Somehow she knew exactly what i wanted. ;)

I started off the day with my 6 and 10 year-old daughters having a McDonald's breakfast.  From there we took the boat out and went fishing at a local lake. They caught 11 between them and I got none (too busy making sure they had fun).  Got home, cleaned up the pool, and fired up the barbecue.  My wife's family and my oldest daughter (who is finally pregnant after her and her husband went through many trials and tribulations to get to this point) came up for our Father's Day picnic.  At 9 pm, I finally crashed after an exhausting and wonderful day.  It may sound mundane, but as I go through cancer treatments, its days like this that really drive home what is truly important in life.  So what I got was the gift of love from my family and children.  Oh yeah and a new marine deep cycle battery. Best Father's Day ever!

I got my dad 2 packs of panfish poppers for his fly-rod. He likes going down to the pond and panfish. So I figured what better gift? He really isn't into bass fishing anymore because he tore a tendon in his thumb so he can't work the reel much and he basically gets tired out too easy if he bass fishes. He perfers to catfish and panfish because they are easier...

Cast the line out, let it sink to the bottom, if the bobber goes under or the pole bends he has a fish. That's his 'style', lol he calls it lazy man fishing.  ;D

I got nothin, in fact I spent the day painting the entire exterior of my house. I'm on vacation this week and going to be away from Wednesday to Saturday pre-fishing then fishing a 2 day tournament. I promised my wife I would get the house painted so I kept good to my word. I spent today (Monday) fishing so I guess that was my gift.....

That sounds like a great Father's Day gift, not so much from the material aspect, but for the caring aspect.   ;)

I, as always, didn't expect anything from my family. I am just glad to know (every day) that they love and support me. However, my daughter came in and gave me a card and a BIG hug which made the day worth it. My wife baked me a cake. I also got some Texas Aggie Crocs. (well, I was getting them anyway, but they came in on Friday).

I've always looked at those crocs like they might be good for wading in a river fishing for smallmouth.  They are made of that durable, comfortable plastic, and the water can flow through the holes in the shoe, while you have the bottom to avoid stepping on glass.

We had both sets of grandparents over and we all sat on the deck and shot the chit while I smoked a few slabs of ribs.  Good day.

So far I've liked them, although not testing out their amphibious capabilities.  We're going to South Padre Island (Texas Coast) on Thursday, so I might try them out.

Sounds like a good testing area.  I usually will use those water shoes, but crocs look more comfortable to walk around it.
