In order to flatten to your computer do you have to have the discs that came with the computer. In past when I have flattened it I have used them but in the move, I lost them  >:(

Anyone Know?

The discs won't do you any good, a sledge hammer would though.

when you say flatten, are you talking about totally deleting(formatting) your hard drive and starting fresh? if so, you need to have the disks for your operating system(windows)  if you dont have these then i wouldnt format the hard drive...unless you want to go buy a new copy of windows?  are you having a problem of some sort or you just want to start fresh?

well if you have all the windows disks and the disks for any other programs/games and want to start fresh you should be fine...but there is other things you can do first to try to fix the problem....run the disk defragmenter, do a disk cleanup, check for spyware(you can download free programs for this...google "spybot S&D", "ad-aware", those are two good ones i know of)uninstall/delete any crap on your hard drive that you dont need or dont use anymore....after all that if it still is running slow then it is beyond my knowledge...if i have some problems like that i normally format the hard drive and reinstall fresh...keep in mind if you format the hard drive you WILL LOSE EVERYTHING!  you will be deleting windows and everything else from your computer...so back up important stuff onto disks...i reinstall windows like this about 2-3 times a year...its like having a brand new PC!

good luck
