Guest Bountiful_Waters Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 Went to get my boots this morning in the garage and found this little momma. She must have wanted that boot more than me! Quote
fishbear Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 better that than a snake or a scorpion or a black widow.... Quote
Deb Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 Ahhhhhh, how cute! Hope you let her have the boot! Thanks for the pic. It is awesome! Quote
56 crestliner Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 What kind of a bird is that? it looks like a sparrow? or a quail Quote
Guest Bountiful_Waters Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 It is a wren, and yes, she can have the boot. Quote
skillet Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 The House Wrens go on a nest building frenzy every year about this time! Have to keep the garage doors closed to keep them out. They're like Dirt Daubers, stand still for a little bit and you get a nest in your....uhhh.....(for lack of a better word) armpit... As Ever, skillet Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted June 3, 2007 Super User Posted June 3, 2007 It is a wren, and yes, she can have the boot. Don't worry. She'll be done with it in a few weeks. That is a cool picture. Quote
GeneinTX Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 HAHA! It looked like a tarantula to me. I was wondering why everyone was saying how cute it was. Quote
edbassmaster Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 I was expecting a snake or scorpion...that was just cute. Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 Very cool Glad you didn't evict her! :) I'm assuming wrens don't have a very strong sense of smell?? lol Quote
Super User Sam Posted June 6, 2007 Super User Posted June 6, 2007 Submit that photo to your State Fair and you may be a winner! A Blue Ribbon boot! Quote
Guest Bountiful_Waters Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 This wren has become a real issue around here. We have to check now each evening before we shut the garage door to make sure she is back in her boot. When I get up in the morning, I have to let her out of the garage. She leaves for a few minutes and back she comes. She is worse than a dog. I suppose I will have to pay support on the little ones! Quote
