fishbear Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 Well, it finally happened. Finally, my team gets the #1 pick in the NBA Draft, and they beat long odds to do it. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BLAZERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
llPa1nll Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 Good Luck, The Celtics yet again got hosed by the draft. They by far have the worst luck when it comes to the draft... Quote
telecaster Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 I cant beleive the Celtis got the worst pick they could get..I hate the lottery system, they should go back to the old way,(worst team 1st pick) if the league really thinks a team is tanking games to get a better pick they should penalize them a place or two in the draft. Rattlinrogue Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 I'm a Celts fan through good and bad.For a team that should have the luck of the Irish,we sure never get any.The Ohio State center would have been a franchise player,IMO. Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted May 25, 2007 Super User Posted May 25, 2007 I don't see how winning the most NBA titles ever is bad luck. Wish my Mavericks could win just one. I don't see how you can penalize a team for playing rookies when playoffs are out of the picture for your team. I don't think you can fairly judge teams for tanking games when rookies finally get time on the floor. I think the lotto should apply to the bottom teams only, not a dozen, maybe the worst four teams, and the rest fall in line in order of record. Greg Oden will be around for years if he stays healthy and out of trouble, Portland will be force in the west for a long time. Matt Quote
Rattlinrogue Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 Yeah,we've won quite a few, but the last time was when Larry Bird played. As for luck,I was referring to our lack of it in the lottery . Quote
fishbear Posted May 29, 2007 Author Posted May 29, 2007 Hey, the Celtics want Randolph or Darius Miles????? We will let them go cheap for like the 5th pick in the draft.... maybe we can get 2 lottery picks in Portland again this year...... By the way, how is Telfair working out?????? Man am I glad we unloaded his dead weight..... Sorry Boston, but can not feel sorry for the best all time franchise in NBA History Quote
