Hey Fellas I have1 1993 Puke Green Shawdow I drive. it's ugly green, one cracked tail light, the interior roof had to be cut off it was saggin so much,no radio, dented right fender and now a broken left shock: It's closin in on 200,000 miles. My friends have dubbed the car THE CHICK MAGNET!!

I let them laugh because the only problem I ve had with the car is IT KEEPS RUNNING. I actually fell asleep in Brooklyn , to wake up in the morning to discover I left it open and left the keys in the ignigition and NO ONE STOLE IT!!!!!!! It is getting so bad that when i pass a junkyard it tries to go in on its own :o

Anyway because of some severe family bills I, that I got caught up in when my Dad passed and we loost the house, I am not a good candidate for a car loan; actually I would love to go in and apply for one I haven't been thrown out of a place in a long time ;D

I think I am going to have to go to those buy it here pay it here 11% rip off lots, but Im afraid of getting a lemon. Has anyone been in this posisition, have you bought from this crew?

I saw a ChevyS10 for 1,200 but the guy put a for sale sign on it. I can have his money Aug. Im gonna see if he will take a deposit to hold it. I really hate the thought of a payment till my child suppot ends in 2 and 1/2 years. So how about it anyone ever been into this buy it here pay it here deal, how did it work out for you?

Muddy MY MAN... if you lived nearer to GA I would sell you my 95 Cavalier, its got 102,000 on it but it runs GREAT... I would sell it to you for 1,500 and you could make payments to me over the next 15 months with ZERO interest... hey if I can't trust YOU... I can't trust anyone... so I wouldn't hesitate... the only thing it needs as far as I know is a new horn... I blew it out by blowing it and flipping little ole ladies the bird when they were crossing the road too slow with their walker  ;)

My friend and assistant Rosendo left his VW parked open and windows down in front of the clinic all night long and nobody stole it, I left my RAM Charger parked during the lunch break right in front of the clinic for 1 hour and some *** stole the hub caps.  >:(.

If you are going to purchase used better purchase from someone you know.

If you don 't know check the vehicle and the maintenance schedule, take it for a test drive, normally a person who takes good care of his/hers vehicle always asks more for it than what is worth in the blue book.

  Muddy,

Tri and get some what newer car or truck. And try to get it financed through a bank.

Even if it at a very hight intrest rate (15-25% but not higher) Here's why' I was in the same boat

Chiled support bad marks on my report but came up on a $1000.00 after braking up with this girl id been with (girls always make sure the rent check has cleared before you tell your man you've been sleeping with his freinds and kick him out) well I needed a car or truck went and put the cash down on a bronco and got it financed for 24%  :o on $6995.00. I made my first 6 payments on time and over the amount then refinace the thing at a much much lower rate.

Now what this did was raise my creaded score to a more positive # over a year.

When you finace with that buy here pay here places it dose nothing for your credit. unless you

get it reposest the its all bad...

imho

Don't assume you can't get decent financing.

Your credit score changes all the time and yours may be better than you  think.

I would shop around for a loan, get the best deal I can on a loan,

then shop for the car you want with the loan papers in your pocket.

Reliable transportation is essential.  If someone offers to co-sign for you, swallow that Guinea pride and let them.

All I know is if the car dealership has some guy named "Crazy" Anything screaming about the great deals he makes......I stay away.

Hey that reminds me..........true story.

Remember Dennison Clothes "Money talks nobody walks"?   This was back in 1967.  This clothing guy in Manhattan advertised his unbelievable deals ...open 24 hours 7 days a week.  His commercials were on the radio every 5 minutes.

Anyway, I needed clothes for school, my friend and I were out "looking for adventure" late one night and after listening to the commercial for the gazillionth time I said ...let's go there, and off we went to the city.

The place was this dark, dinky hole in the wall and I was trying on pants.  I didn't think they fit but the salesman......get this... grabbed the back of the pants and said "they fit perfect"  I was 18 and stupid and said "oh yeah they do" and ended up buying ill fitting, lousy quality clothes for too much money.

And then there was this other time...................................nevermind  :-/
