Super User Sam Posted June 22, 2011 Super User Posted June 22, 2011 J, we had a club tournament on the Rappahannock River this past Saturday and it was so hot that the plastics burned our finges when we hauled them out of the boat compartments. I kept the MegaStrike in the cooler and did not bring the JJs Magic as it was really too hot to take a chance on having it boil away. I hope it gets a little cooler for our two day Chick tournament in July. Quote
Super User Sam Posted June 22, 2011 Super User Posted June 22, 2011 Sorry for the above post. It was supposed to go to J's hot weather topic. I have no idea what I did to get it on this topic. I love computers!!!!! Quote

Al Wolbach Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 Thanks alot guys. Really appriciate what you have sacraficed. Looking back, this is one thing I wish I would have done. I retired from the Navy as a Senior Chief Petty Officer (TMCS) with 22 years service. I retired in 1986 and have been thanked more for my service in the last few years than all of the previous years combined. I'm not complaining, just amazed at the patriotism being shared these last few years(maybe since 9-11). Please don't stop, as many vets will need our help and support for many years to come. As for me personally, thanks is not necessary. It was the best time of my life, hands down. The friends I made there remain my best friends today even though we are separated by hundreds/thousands of miles. Thank God for the internet and unlimited long distance. The military is not for everyone but for many it was/is the best years of their lives. However some have sacrificed far too much and need to be in our prayers daily.......Al Quote
