Deuceu72 Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 Here's a guy who was trying to get his boat off one of our local lakes here in Colorado. As you can see from the slideshow, he had a little bit of trouble! ;D ;D ;D http://www.9news.com/9slideshows/Truck%20in%20Chatfield%20Reservoir%20-%20May%203%2C%202007/ Too funny. Quote
Super User Sam Posted May 4, 2007 Super User Posted May 4, 2007 If it wasn't so sad it would be really funny. Can you imagine how he is going to explain that to his wife? Quote
NJfishinGuy Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 i dont get how he got the truck that far into the water???? doesn't even seem realistic.... Quote
Super User Root beer Posted May 4, 2007 Super User Posted May 4, 2007 I wonder if he crap him self? haha. Quote
Tom Bass Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 He probably didn't release the boat from the trailer and left the truck in neutral DOH! Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 A little more,.......little more........That's good! ;D Squirrels,...Mom, you're a hoot,lmao Quote
Super User burleytog Posted May 4, 2007 Super User Posted May 4, 2007 I hope I never see something like that happen. :-/ Quote
RecMar8541 Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 I saw something similar in a river, a very stiff current river. The vehicle was pushed about 30 yards down stream, to an area where the banks were perhaps 20 feet about the water.....I believe they used a helo to get it out, but am unsure as I didnt see the rescue. bigdog Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 Well thats one way to get the boat off the trailerlol... Quote
Guest avid Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 I saw an ad in the paper. the guy is selling the truck For Sale: Bass truck comes with own bass. Quote
rbarkerjr Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 The ad could be like the CarFax commercial. For Sale Truck - Minor water damage New Upholstery!! ;D Quote
Shad_Master Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 The Ranger at one of our local lakes says that this happens at least three times every year -- the primary cause is someone leaving the truck in reverse and getting out to help the boater. He keeps a bobcat handy just for this reason. Quote
=Matt 5.0= Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 i dont get how he got the truck that far into the water???? doesn't even seem realistic.... Happened to a friend of mines son two years ago. Was putting his lobster boat in for the season, and his F250 ended up underneath just like that! Fully submerged in salt water...not good. Somehow the planets were aligned and the trans popped out of park AND the e brake failed..... Quote
Ky_Lake_Dude Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 I've seen that happen 2 or 3 times but none were that far down into the water. Quote
GeneinTX Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 I saw one that floated with jet ski attached at least 150' out before it sank in about 20 feet of water. I felt sorry for him till I realized he was trying to launch a jet ski! Quote
