Guest avid Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 1. I love Avril Levigne's video "girlfriend". It's just so totally bratty I can't help it. 2. Rufus Wainwright... a new discovery for me. I need to hear more, but first impressions are that he is a first class balladeer. that's it. Quote

Guest avid Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 Wha??????????? I'm glad I gave so much joy to so many, but I don't get it. Sorry but I can be clueless. Is it because y'all think the video is total crappola or your surprised that an educated, sophisticated, refined, well bred, handsome gentleman like myself would enjoy such plebian entertainment? Cephkiller Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 I pretty much can't stand anything recorded in the past 15 years. Does this mean that as I approach my "golden years" I will learn to enjoy rap music? I hope not ;D Quote

Good point, Muddy. What I meant to say was: I can't stand anything recorded by any artist whose first hit was in the last 15 years. I'm sure there are exceptions to this, too, but you get my point. Super User roadwarrior Posted May 4, 2007 Super User Posted May 4, 2007 Hmm... Brooks & Dunn, Sugarland, Gretchen Wilson, Kelly Clarkson, Terri Clark, LeAnn Rimes, Carrie Underwood, Toby Keith... Quote
Guest the_muddy_man Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 10-4 The focus is on Sales and star quality>>>>>$$$$$$$$$$$ It used to be that long, and fruitful carrers meant you were a star Now all you have to do is sing infront of a snotty/whimpy British guy, a drunken ex cheerleader and some record guy , get enough votes, you get a contract and dance and lypsynch all the way to the bank Quote
