Who Cares  :o  :-/ EVEN ARRON HAS SAID HE WILL NOT RECOGNIZE IT   Bonds,McGuire,Palermo and all the other BETTER LIVING THROUGH CHEMISTRY CREW ought to have their accomplishments nullified. They Put an Asterik next to Maris's name b/c he did it in more games they should put a disgrace smile next to these guys. BONDS IS A CHEATER and should be treated as such

As a person who has been around a few drug rehabs and worked in the field I can tell you it is not a stretch for people to beat tests. The tests have become more sophisicated and baseball made their test more sophisticated when Bonds went down for a good part of the season last year! Nobody I mean nobody at his age could bulk up like he did without doping ! The sad thing is he was always a great ball player Look at his pictures as his carrer went on Bob Dylan hit the nail on the head when he wrote the line YOU DON"T NEED A WEATHER MAN TO KNOW WHICH WAY THE WIND BLOWS!!!!!!!!!!!

Mays and Aaron were by his side the whole time Why would Aaron pull away? The man is a gentleman and I would think he hates to see his accomplishments overshadowed by steroids.

Except for a few exceptions the adult human body can only gain approximately 10 - 12 lbs of muscle per year naturally, and that is when doing a bodybuilding routine.  Most people gain less than that.  Some people gain more than that but some of it is fat.  Bonds gained around 35 - 40 lbs in one year and most of it was muscle, giving him the strength to go from 30 - 40 home runs a year to hitting 50 - 70.  Guilty as charged.

i know the veiws on this but im just saying i still like to beleive innocent until proven guilty..i mean sure he has probably done steroids but without proof .it wouldnt be fair of myself to judge him ..muddy wasnt it just a couple days ago that you got upset about people stereotyping you cause you was from the city....

Any evidence right now is circumstantial. If there was any REAL evidence we wouldn't even be talking about this. You can't ignore a person's accomplishments without hard evidence, no matter how much you think you "know" he is guilty. Imagined if our courts worked that way, presumed guilty until proven innocent?

However, as Muddy said, I think it is very easy to see "which way the wind blows" and I think it is highly likely that Bonds has and/or does use steroids just from the relationships he has and the size he has gained. But I'm not sure I can really write him off yet without the real evidence. My gut feeling isn't enough for me in this case.

Besides, A-Rod is going to pass Bonds in our lifetime anyway (Lord willing).

If I am on a deserted island with Muddy_Man, and when we are finally discovered, it is found that he has been shot in the head, do you think that I'm going to be found guilty, or do you think they'll say I'm innocent because no one has proof that I'm the one who shot him?  (Sorry, for using you in the example Muddy.  I have no intentions of shooting you.  ;))

Guys, when it is scientifically impossible for the human body to gain the kind of muscle mass that Bonds gained in one year without steroids, that is not circumstantial evidence.  It is logical proof in my eyes, but good people can disagree.

Here are my beliefs:

Bonds has never used steroids, Pete Rose never bet on baseball, and O.J. didn't do it.

Hey, I know this is off topic, but did I tell you guys about the conversation I had with my three friends the other day, Santa Clause, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy.  We were having a conversation about...

I guess we're all off topic though.  The original question was when will he break the record?  Whether we like it or not, it will count.  It's just like the debates we have about the current world record bass.  It is the record whether we agree or not.  I honestly don't have a prediction of when he will surpass the number but so far he's having a decent season so it looks like he'll do it this year unless he is injured.

;D  Ahem . . .  well the final results are the proof in both instances.

Oxford English Dictonary def. of stereotype;noun 1 a preconceived and over-simplified idea of the characteristics which typify a person or thing.

My view of Bonds is neither pre-concieved: I have read the SF Cronicle and the Sporting News articles about this ad nausem. I have researched ( I have 2 years of chemistry, one year of organic chemistry, 2 years of bio and physiology, and one year of medicinal chemistry under my belt)

HGH: other than a few rare diseases the only way the adult head can contiue to grow( Being liberal) after 30 years old is the result of ingesting large doses of certain anabolic steroids and HGH(Human Growth Hormone) Look this up if you do not believe this Then look at Barry's boby PARTIULRLY HIS HEAD,legs and upper body in His rookie icture with the Pirtes then Look at this 7 years ago then take a look at the last five years

Over a two season period he gained 46 lbs. you can readily find this is the record books THE ELIAS BIBLE is a good reference source of this.

By the way both Mc Guire and Clemens(yea the rocket) show the same type of head growth over similar periods.

I worked in rehab, these are some of the ways that clients cleand urine smaples: as simple as putting clorox on your finger tips and peeing over your fingers, this makes the sample of the old tests too alkaline and negates the results. Tking certain teas like goldenrod or drinking anyother product that made the urine too aciic, also gave false readings

Now the tests are more sophisicated and even have temp strips on themto make sure the urine is a body temp, because they were bringing other patients urine in with them

Now all good dopper firms sell kits for up to thousands of dollars that are supposed to clean urine but not the blood. They by enlarge do not work on such sophisiticated tests as used by sactioning bodies for sports. I am really suspicious of there effectiven=ess , but they are out there. These drugs, particualrlly the IV ones are fat soluable and need long periods of time to leave the blood samples. It is possible he was hurt, but he was able to stay under the union protected radr by not playing thiose months and avoiding testing .

My ideas are neither simplistic or overr-simlified. I have some backround and did some reading as this unfolded. I also ,as my thread shows am a HUGE BASEBALL FAN and i follow the game closley. Years ago when the pirates came to Shea  I always wanted to be there to see Barry, it was obvious from the gate he was Hall of Fame material, now he is just like Palmero and the rest of them, that is tragic. So please do not use the word stereotyping with me here I have no problem with disagreement and arguing a baseball point that is part of loving the game But I did enough reading and researh to make an informed and thourogh opinon of this matter

Posted

my point is that everyone is gonna have an opinion  on this ..so if he is so guilty that even some of us here can point out the facts  why hasnt he been suspended or why hasnt he been found guilty of a positive doping test.....if major league baseball cant prove him guilty  ..and they certainly tried  .then why would i call him a cheater  just because someone else thinks he is...nope..i will give a man credit until he is proven guilty
