MyKeyBe Posted April 26, 2007 Posted April 26, 2007 If I'm listening to country it better be "outlaw country". Old: Highway Men. - Waylon, Willie, Johnnie, and Chris. New: I have two. 1: Whiskey for my men, beer for my horses. - Toby and Willie. 2: I love this bar. - Toby. Oh, and anything from the "Cowboys from Hell" Pantera. ;D Quote

Super User roadwarrior Posted May 2, 2007 Author Super User Posted May 2, 2007 I'm surprised nobody mentioned "Amarillo By Morning" from George Strait. Quote
Hawgin Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 I'm surprised nobody mentioned "Amarillo By Morning" from George Strait. Easily one of his 3-4 best songs. I have always really liked his song King of Broken Hearts. Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted May 3, 2007 Super User Posted May 3, 2007 Kent, once upon a time I spent eleven years living overseas while working in the oil patch. Three years were spent living in Iran (before the revolution) Needless to say, we Americans tended to band together and to party - A LOT. In three years, regardless of the host of the party, YOU DON'T HAVE TO CALL ME, DARLIN was heard and heartily sung by all attendees. Those were some really great times to the best of my recollection. Guest hibachi Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 I absolutely love classic country music, especially the outlaws (waylon, willie, johnny cash, merle haggard, chris christopherson, etc.) There are very few current country singers that I like (brad paisley, dierks bentley, and some of toby keith). but i absolutely CAN NOT STAND these pretty boy "country" bands like rascal flatts. everytime i see or hear them representing country music i get a little bit of vomit in my mouth. seriously, i don't even see how they have anything to do with country music, and those idiots big and rich... who do they think they are? i wish johnny cash would strike them down from heaven! personally, i keep my radio tuned to classic country.
